Went today to Chelos and was disappointed when I got home to eat my pernil (roast pork) and arroz con gandules. No seasoning whatsoever. Sorry but this dish gets a rating of 1 out of 5 (5 being great). The pork had absolutely no flavor it was awful and the rice had very little seasoning. So disappointed. Now the mofongo with shrimp that I give a 4 out of 5. The garlic sauce was flavorful and the shrimp were done perfect the mofongo was slightly hard but eatable otherwise they would have received a 5.And yes I am Puerto Rican and I do make these dishes at home and had them in other truck stop/restaurants, so I do know what I’m talking about. Just a little constructive criticism so they can correct and improve on their pernil. Wishing them all the best.

The food. Omg. Just as good at the other food trucks at this place. Love it here AND sometimes this food truck host live bands. %10000000 would recommend to a friend to come to this food truck and he other two at this lot (I actually have recommended them in the past)

The food is one of the best in all Tampa. However, their hours are usually not working according to what Google says. It may ot may not be their fault but I have come a few times and they are closed when their hours says their supposed to be open.

I call to order and it’s always an issue with getting what I want it’s like they choose what the customers want to eat! So what is the point of a menu if you only cook what you feel like making for the day!!!

Never eat there food again. This place makes the worse steak and rice and they are over priced. 20.00 each dinner plate. The steak looks like it was just taken out the package and put to cook no seasoning bo salt nothing The only food item worth buying are the pork pinchos. Sad to say my dogs had a 55.00 dinner tonight.

When they started their pinchos were huge and juicy and delicious, today the pinchos were small warm and they also getting pricy! It’s a shame how money can change a business once you start growing you start getting greedy and start over charging and the quality becomes poor . Very disappointed!!!!

Was recommended this place and we traveled all the way from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to give it a try. I have to tell you that it is by far the best we’ve tried. We had pinchos, alcapurria, mofongo de camarón y pulpo and cuajito!!! Ten out of ten!!! I would highly recommend this place if your looking for some great authentic puertorican food!!! Oh and the staff was amazing as well!!
