Quick seating and good food. I had the Chelsea Pasta which was tasty and filling. You can get Faygo scented candles next door!

I have been here twice, and both times the service has been slow. Waitress was friendly, etc, but the food took a while to come out. I would say we were there for two hours for dinner, and an hour plus for lunch. Kids menu options were typical, aside from the fact they have no milk (which of course was requested right off the bat. Runner up choice was juice boxes). The food was okay. Not spectacular, not bad either…just food.

We have had several very slow dinner services at this establishment. Tonight we were seated and then waited for over twenty minutes, trying to get the waitstaff’s attention to begin the process of ordering our drinks. We left before anyone made it to our side of the dining room. Food is decent. Lunch service has never been an issue. Avoid in the 6-8pm time frame of you are in any hurry whatsoever, or hungry.

Various staff members have been rude on multiple occasions when I called for take out. On more than one occasion a woman barked, “we are having a private party tonight!” and hung up on me. Other nights when they were hosting a private party, my usual request for a burger on the flat iron instead of charbroiled was met with a sharp retort of “no special orders! ” Never mind that orders have been wrong many times and the food is overpriced for the quality. There were also several occasions when I came in to pick up and no one was there to greet me. Also, the menu is very limited and the tomato sauce on the lasagna is very bland and acidic tasting. You could have a stoke from the amount of salt on the french dip. Finally, one day I was informed that the owner would no longer allow raspberry vinaigrette dressing on anything but one type of salad. After that I had no more reason to do business with them. The only reason I came back so many times is because some of the food actually tastes good.

Food is excellent and the servers are very attentive. Service is usually quick. We are always seated right away. Usually about 45 minutes to an hour from entering to leaving. I don’t think I have ever seen it extremely busy. We generally go here a few times a month for lunch/dinner on the weekends. Will continue to do so. Unsure of the other reviews saying people are rude or food is cold. We have went here at least a dozen times and never seen anything of the sort.

It consistently delivers better than expected. Excellent salads, and most everything else. I like the music they have. It’s not horribly loud like the other “grill” in town. Consistently friendly and personable wait staff. My “go to” for a decent calm meal in Chelsea.

We went to this restaurant yesterday. We stood at the front for over 5 minutes, waiting to be seated. We were ignored, so we thought that maybe we are supposed to seat ourselves. So we did. A server came by and asked if we would want to sit at a different table, since there were 5 of us, but we told her we were fine. Everything seemed okay at this point. Then we waited, and waited. Finally an older employee came over to us, and said she was sorry but they couldn’t serve us. Her reason was, they had a large top and not enough help. Then she said: That’s why we didn’t seat you! We were shocked and could not believe the rude treatment we and some other guests at a table nearby were given. My question is, then why did they not let any guests know when they entered the restaurant, that they are temporarily closed????? No, instead, they ignore you and then act like it’s your fault. I have never been treated in such a rude manner at a restaurant. Totally unprofessional and extremely rude. Never again will we even consider the Chelsea Grille again, and we will certainly let our friends and family know about our horrible experience here.

We waited almost an hour and a half and received no food. We weren’t offered drink refills. No apologies or explanations were given. People coming in behind us got their food before us. We had about 10 people at our table. There was another table with about the same amount of people, and they were in the same boat as us. The manager got snippy and the waitress was in tears when we all left. Was looking forward to trying the food. Will not be going back.

Worst “dining experience” I’ve ever had. Went there on a Thursday evening around 6 with a group of 5 before a play at the Purple Rose. The restaurant was not busy but it took an hour to get our food. One person got the wrong sandwich and the waitress acted like it was the customers fault. Finally came back 10 minutes later to say she entered the order wrong and said she’d have the kitchen fix the right one. Then another girl has a bug crawl out of her salad. Once again, no hint of an apology and three of our group were done eating before the replacement salad showed up. By this time we have twenty minutes before the play starts and she still hasn’t brought our change. And yes…the lady with the bug salad had no discount offered and paid full price. Two of us waiting for change had to finally get up and go into the bar area to find her and stand waiting for our change. The manager who was supposed to stop by our table was a no show. If there was a rating lower than one….it would still be too high.
