I should of known from the filthy entrance and windows not to eat here! Never again. My guest and I got completely different foods from buffet. Everything was cold. Except for served hot tea. My guest politely went to hostess stand to tell them. He was ignored. I went to hostess stand and she took out thermometer and said you check. Then told me we “got to much” on our plates suggesting that was why cold. We just sat down with plates. Seriously! Then said “you pay half”, wouldn’t give me her name and said she didn’t know manager, they were not there, to call. Not only food cold but service horrendous, rude and unprofessional. Do not dine here! #newarkhealthdepartment

Well me and my three buddies were looking for some decent food and we found it not. The Mai Fun is anything but fun. Some of the worst general tsos chicken you have ever eaten. My cousin found a throwing star in his “beef”. My friend tasted nothing but ocean water in his sushi. The special roll is everything but special. Overall the whole experience makes me ashamed of the man I am. The fries will put you in a deep state of depression. The ice cream wasn’t bad, but it did make my cousin poop himself.

Been on a steamed dumpling and wonton soup kick lately so been trying those items at different places. This place killed it…prices were very good, portions were huge, flavor and taste were outstanding. Especially the “dipping sauce” for the dumplings. Best I’ve had.

Sitting having lunch right this moment. A seemingly homeless person just came in lingering. Employees ask him what he needs. He says food. They ask if he has any money and he says no. The left graciously offers him some general tsos chicken and he rudely says “hellllll no, I don’t like that.” I was appalled. The lady still remained very courteous. He said what he wanted and they made it for him and gave it to him for free. That guy was a jerk, but the team here at chengs were amazing and I was touched by their kindness in the face of a ridiculously rude beggar. Thought I should share! Been coming here since I was a kid and will be a customer for life!!

Order here on the regular and have for Years, both in person and thru apps. I ordered yesterday, so happy with the food. As I’ve said I order frequently, and the flavor had lacked some in last idk how long. But yesterday I had the same flavor burst that it had back in the day. Idk if there had been supply chain issues or different kitchen staff. Definitely keep doing what your doing.

I asked if the Singapore Mei Fun contained shrimp, and had difficulty understanding what the guy said, it sounded like he said it had chicken and pork. I tried to clarify what he had said (because I am allergic to shrimp) and asked again if it had shrimp. Got the same barely understandable answer, this time with a tone of impatience and frustration. So I concluded that the frustration was because I was asking about an ingredient that was not in the dish. Much to my dismay three bites in, even after searching through the container and seeing none, I found shrimp… It was a simple yes or no question…
