While waiting to pick up the order, a customer ahead of us said the restaurant had just come under new management, and he was skeptical. We left the restaurant wondering how good the food would be. Well let me say, it was fantastic. Some of the best egg drop soup I’ve ever had. The General Tso’s chicken was great too. We look forward to returning!

I don’t normally stop here for Chinese food but I have stopped by every so often. Usually quality is there and very minimal good customer interaction. But today I received very poor customer interaction and the quality of food was NOT there. So here’s the thing. They keep all condiments behind the counter and I asked for some duck sauce for my meal. Usually six will cover me and so when I asked, they tossed 2 sauces at my bag and said here. They couldn’t even place them in the bag and when I asked for more, they said 2 was the limit. Seriously for the over priced food as it is, I was shocked I was told no when I asked for more. Very poor presentation and very rude interaction. Whenever you go to a regular restaurant regardless of ethnicity, they should have good cuatomer service. For the price you pay and the portion size, I won’t be stopping by here anymore. And before you say that I am making a big deal about sauce, look at it like this. Sauce is a very minimal thing and they couldn’t even get that right. Leaves no faith in anything else for them to do right.

Love Cheng’s. Chicken lo mein is my go too. Great spot to pick up a quick bite. It is one of the best Chinese food restaurants in the area. I go at least once a week. Highly recommend.

I love Cheng’s kitchen. It’s a super local, not fancy and not super pricey quick way to pick up some Chinese food on the way home. Their food is consistently good and they have remained a part of my take out repertoire for the last 20 years.

I don’t know what happened. Food has a weird after taste. It almost takes like cleaners or something. I can’t eat there any more. Shame- Dumplings are still really good- but the rice and chickens that I usually get have a weird taste.

Stopped in because, well, it was open Christmas night… very happily surprised. Everything was flavorful and portion sizes were good. Little on the pricey side for a countertop Chinese place, but that’s Hopewell for you. Some of the better Chinese in Mercer. Recommended.

Our goto for takeout! Easy ordering and pickup, staff is always friendly and the food is consistently delicious. Most of the selection is typical and taste is consistent with what you would expect but in our household we find the Dumplings, wonton and crab Rangoon (fried or not) are the best in Mercer County.
