This restaurant is a diamond in the rough. Don’t let the unassuming strip mall storefront fool you – the food at Chen’s Kitchen is top notch. We were on a very long drive and stopped at Chen’s Kitchen for a close-to-the-highway, non-fast-food, quick lunch. We ordered food to feed 6 and were served generous portions that could have easily fed 12. The orange and sesame chicken dishes were our family’s favorites – downright fantastic. And the spring rolls were obviously made from scratch and delicious!

I’ve been eating at Chen’s Kitchen over 10 years. This is the Only Chinese restaurant I will order from in Wayne County. It is not the fanciest, the biggest nor the closest to my home BUT it is the BEST! The food is amazing! The lo mein is never dry and has a good amount of vegetables. Great tasting chicken fried rice and egg rolls. If you have been searching for a Chinese restaurant with amazing food, your search is over!

Chen’s Kitchen is absolutely delicious. My family and I just moved to the area from Northern California. We are used to fairly good Chinese food in California, and for whatever reason, I wasn’t expecting good Chinese restaurants here. The food Chen’s is some of the tastiest I’ve ever had. I got 3 different entrées as well as fried rice and lo mein. My family couldn’t stop raving about the food either. The staff there were incredibly friendly and helpful. This will be my go-to Chinese restaurant, especially since this was the first meal we had in our new house. Keep up the great work, Chen’s Kitchen!

Great place to eat, but they need to take the phone out since they will not answer it. I called for 25 minutes and got no answer. I guess someone else wants my business. I don’t have the time to go up there, place an order and wait 20 minutes for it. I rather order go and pick it up. Thank god there is a Chinese restaurant in newton grove and mount olive. I will not go back to Chens Kitchen.

This place has the best Chinese food around here in Goldsboro. And for the people that are complaining about taking 30 mins to get your food. Then learn to order sooner. The Best House Fried Rice in Wayne County. I enjoy the house chow mein, house egg fu young, house low mein and broccoli in gravy not to mention fried scallops buffet at home is what I usually have because it is hard to decide on just one. The food is worth the wait and drive.
