They are take out only right now so I can’t say much about service or atmosphere. Food was hot and fresh. Crab Rangoon was tasty. I would’ve preferred my Hunan chicken have more spice.

Love this place. Favorite is the sesame tofu, lemon chicken, and wonton soup. Super fast service and friendly people running it. Flavorful— doesn’t taste cheap, or like something just pulled from their freezer and microwaved 10 mins ago (like a lot of other food in this town).

Chen’s is the best restaurant in kirksville. Make sure to order from the Chinese menu, not from the regular menu, and you’ll get great food. I’ve probably ordered every item on the Chinese menu, so I promise they’re good! I live in Chicago, but honestly Chen’s is better than a lot of places including big cities. Everytime I come back to Missouri, I stop by Chen’s. My favorite is their spicy chicken and Chinese vegetables.

Purchased enough for 6 people. The general’s chicken was horrible. It had been breaded for a few days before cooking. Chicken was dried out and old. If I purchase again it will not be for any breaded chicken. Broccoli wasn’t fresh either, it was stringy. Fried rice was just white rice and soy sauce. There was no veggies of any kind and we got 6 dinners, and only 1 was white rice. We even ordered 2 extra Fried rice and none had even an onion in it.

They are my favorite Chinese place in Kirksville, but it would be great if they would open back up inside. They have been carry out only since Covid hit and don’t seem interested in delivery or buffet anymore. For carry out, the food is good and the prices are average.

We got take out, they gave us only two out of three of the items we ordered, both with the wrong rice and one item just the wrong thing entirely. They read it back correctly when we ordered, but when we picked it up and got home we were missing the one dish and the other was wrong. To top it all off, my partner and I have been vomiting all evening. We’ve been to the other Chinese places in town and loved it but we will not be back here.

Made a to go order. Asked for something chicken and little or no vegetables. Got home the the order was over 90% vegetables. What chicken that was in it was good. Will never eat here again. Plus wife’s egg roll were really small

Chen’s provides the best Chinese cuisine in Kirksville! Only a couple restaurants here provide Chinese food, this is by far my favorite. They provided quality food exactly as I ordered at a reasonable price.
