Since I began planning my family’s vacation to the Traverse City area, I had Sleeping Bear Dunes and Cherry Republic in Glen Arbor as my top 2 places to visit. I was excited that a seat was available on a busy afternoon and was okay with the 1 to 1.5 hr wait once our food order was placed even ordering appetizers, because the menu items had products available for purchase incorporated and based on the number of people eating there and picking up take out, it had to be delicious food and worth the wait, right?! Wrong! All 3 items were not good – the pulled pork sandwich had the flavor and consistency of a sloppy Joe, the cherryaki chicken lettuce wraps were so small to be considered an appetizer and lacked any cherry or teriyaki flavoring, and the cherry chicken salad wrap while okay had no flavor except for the celery giving it a little flavor and a very minimal amount of cherries.

Best place in the area for food and dessert. We go here every time we come up for the food, the desserts, the wine, the shopping, and the bathrooms.

THIS PLACE! First of all, Glen Arbor is so cute. But the Cherry Public House was my favorite stop of all! My husband I got lunch there: he ordered a bacon burger and I got the Parmesan crusted grilled cheese. The food was fantastic a little expensive, but very good. Then we stopped over for some snacks to take home, and HAD to get some cherry pie ice cream. That was the best ice cream I’ve ever had. There’s

Cherry republic is a must-visit for all tourists, and a pillar of the Glen Arbor community. The summer patio is dog friendly, and service has evolved to accommodate large crowds of people. Off-season trivia nights and winter pizza provides so much fun for locals, and the food never disappoints. The team of people working there, especially those who work year-round, is full of wonderful people, who work so hard.

We come the Glen Arbor every year, and Cherry Republic is a staple of our vacation. The Public House does not disappoint! The outdoor space is absolutely gorgeous, with many seating options. Food is delicious (we get ribs and fries), and we especially like the beer! (Really nice cherry wine options, but we don’t drink wine).

Cherry Public house is very good. Awesome atmosphere. Very cool outdoor patio with string lights. Very good food and service. Everyone was very nice. There is an ice cream stand, a little store, and the main restaurant area. My family and I went here twice for dinner on our week long vacation. I got the burger one night and the dry rub ribs the next. Both excellent. Try their in house mule.

Good food, good service and a fun, upbeat atmosphere. Great menu with nice variety of cherry infused food and beverages, including cherry wines. Only criticism would be our confusion in understanding the style of service when we arrived; couldn’t tell if was full service or counter service, since there was no host stand. Asked a server and she explained that it’s seat yourself and a server will take your order.

Awful burgers! Overcooked, and the buns were so dry they were crumbling. The manager offered other food items to replace ours.

A fun place to catch a meal and beverage. Everything has cherries in some fashion. This black bean burger was very good, the parmesan grilled cheese was ok. There’s so much on the menu, especially with drinks, I advise you to share with a partner and try different things.
