This is a fantastic place to go for a meal. We understand why this place has pretty much five-star reviews across the board. Among the things we had were fish tacos, garden salad, pesto chicken sandwich, kid’s Pizza, and a few other things I don’t recall.

Located at the end of a dead end street this restaurant is across a lovely local bar and other businesses. There is street parking and the area is quiet. Doug our server was absolutely wonderful last night. He provided proper attention to are large party and we had a blast. The food was well made and paid attention to this who may have restrictions to certain flavours or salt content. Everything was affordably priced with a variety of options available to eat and drink.

Always a wonderful experience. Food is great, service is prompt and efficient, staff makes you feel like you are in their home. Can’t wait for the next time.

I guess everyone has a different experience, but I enjoyed my experience here. Some complained the service was slow, what are we in a rush for anyway? We came on a Saturday night and there was some live music- an added surprise for us! I ordered the French onion soap and the burger (it tasted like it came right of the grill ). Hubby got the stuffed mushrooms and burger too and had no complaints. We are happy we found this place because it’s close to our cabin and the scenic drive doesn’t hurt- definitely coming back with other family members as the prices are just right!

I dropped in Chester for dinner tonight and ordered baby backribs, potato wedges, mac and cheese, and a caesars salad. I wasn’t really that impressed by the food taste, but the service was excellent

Owner is rude, unprofessional, and should not be able to work in customer service. Went to see fathers band play on a Friday night, which they have done for over a year now. Reservations were made for 12 on the hottest night during the heat wave. They decided to let band know they were playing outside in their backyard which was unkept to say the least. It was 95 with 90% humidity. They set up tables that were opened and set for service. My family reserved a table for 12 inside like we always do. But! outside we were told in the sun only 9 people could sit on top of each other in the sun at reserved seat for 12. Not enough room. The Average age of the guests were 70 years old! But there were about 5 other open tables… the open tables were…. Open! No reserve signs. No hostess. My family sat at one of the tables next to my family and more family friends came and sat at the other open table. The owner Aaron I believe is his name came out and told three 80 year old ladies who drove 50 miles and get dinner and drinks were told to go sit in a dirty table shoved off to the side in the sun because these tables were reserved! As well as the one my family was at after I had purchased drinks. I, being a food director for 25 years said to him. You know you should put reserve signs on the table if they are reserved. His response to me was. I can do anything I want to. I said well we are all here purchasing food and drink from your restaurant and treating customers like that is very unprofessional. I said that’s just wrong making us move to a dirty table in the sun. He got in my face and said “who do you think you are lady??” I stood up and said I am a paying customer who is bringing money to your hurting business. I said I’m trying to give you some advice on how to be professional! He told me to get out of there. He was kicking us out. He will never ever have my family and fathers band there again! As we were walking out there were 10 open tables inside and zero customers waiting for a table! The place was close to empty. Appalling! This place should thank us for bringing any money to a place that serves cafeteria style food at best for $22 a plate for over cooked pork loin and canned gravy. The winter months we were literally the only customers and he was sketchy those times but we ignored his bad day. But it’s who he is. Thank you common. We went to comfort kitchen in Huntington about 4 miles before this hole and the food, service, and drinks were all awesome!

Pleasantly surprised. Nice comfortable vibe. Hometown atmosphere w a small but varied menu. Some interesting items to try and some standards. We had the flat bread for app it was very good presto chicken was the days special. The Shepard’s Pie was delicious plenty of meat and the flavors were rich and hearty. Also had the kale and goat cheese salad it was good and even better the next day after the suttle citrus dressing marinated the Kale. A decent and varied beer menu and a few interesting cocktails. The owners are the cook, bartender, waitress and bussers very nice and friendly. They had local entertainment which was really nice. We will definitely go back. If you want a relaxing hometown meal this is the place to go.

Such a welcoming and fun place to grab dinner. They have great cocktails and there’s often live music on the weekends. They have a shuffle board in the back which is a blast to play while waiting for food or drinks. The menu is mostly comfort food items such as Shepard’s pie, smothered fried chicken (my favorite), cajun or fried catfish (also very good). The staff are super kind and hardworking.

Wow. Came here for lunch while visiting family in a nearby town. This was one of the best meals and overall dining experiences I’ve had in a long time, and I say that having lived in 3 countries and dined in restaurants across the U.S. The quality of food, variety of options, prices, friendliness of staff, and atmosphere were all phenomenal. My dad, who can be hard to please, said it was “100 times better than Applebee’s.” We tried the baked brie and apple chutney pastry bites, French onion soup, coconut curry bowl, and sausage reuben, which were all delicious. Absolutely worth the drive!
