This was my grandmother’s favorite chicken when I was growing up in Indiana. I stopped at the Love’s truck stop specifically for this chicken because my dad had never had it. He said it was the best strips he’s had in his life and it was great for me to take a walk down memory lane eating the fried chicken.

I know joe biden has messed everything up but I just paid 8 bucks for 2 chicken sandwiches here one of them was ok the other one the bread was hard.. KFC is wall better chicken the cheese cake pies was great but out of 2 chicken sandwiches 2 potatoe wedges a 8 pice cost 37.00 bucks .. only the pies was good ..

Friendly service, clean tabled and decent chicken for the price. As a truck stop environment with McDonald’s next door, turnover of the product probably doesn’t happen as often as in other venues. Fairly crispy pieces but not as fresh from being kept under heat lamps before being served.

Best food I’ve had ALL YEAR!! The apple pies were delicious, as well as the chicken! Jerry was our server and he was EXTREMELY helpful. We had been driving all day from a wedding in Alabama and stopped in for gas. Jerry explained all the different menu options and was super courteous. He even made us some pies right out of the oven!! Did not expect to be so surprised!!!! Thanks Jerry!!

Chester’s is an okay chicken joint, but I wasn’t impressed. The food was good, but the chicken was dry, mac n cheese was hard, potatoes were also dry. I feel as if there is definitely room for improvement. The restaurant itself was dirty and needed to be swept and mopped, there isn’t a bathroom but there is one in the Loves Travel Stop (which is pretty much the same building). The staff were professional and were kind enough to refund me for my bad experience, hence my 3 stars. Maybe if they improved their food preparation, it’d be a great restaurant. Or maybe my bad experience won’t be as bad as the next person’s.

Every time I come into this establishment connected to Loves truck stop to order my food the staff is hateful and rude. Also every time I order a large order of gizzards I have been told 3 times they are out and will not be cooking no more until the next day but everything else is stocked in the heat bar so why can’t the gizzard be the same way. So I won’t be going here anymore until the people attitudes change along with the service.
