The food was phenomenal! I ordered take out. Got the combo which included chicken, fries, and salad. The chicken was fresh and crispy. I also got a huge order of calamari which was cooked to perfection! The green aji sauce at this place is spicy and has a nice consistency to it! The staff was nice and service was quick. Definitely will be stopping by again to try more dishes! I love a good place with authentic Peruvian food, this place hits the spot. Only thing I might add is they are a tad bit pricey compared to other Peruvian restaurants but I’ll support this business! Highly recommend.

I stopped for a lunch break, to start, it was hot and humid as hell, those guys has a single room AC for the whole restaurant, impossible eating there in a summer day, and my wife ordered a bisteck a lo pobre, she says rice was from day before, she dumped half of the food, I ordered lomo saltado, I think was ok, and for dessert we ordered 2 flan, I will tell this was the worst of the worst, the taste was horrible, I don’t know if it was rotten, or didn’t bake it properly, we scoup twice, and we dumped the rest of them, it was garbage, we are peruvian, gastronomy is rich, peruvian people are very demanding, we rate this place a big 0, , we are from New Jersey, we will never go back to that place

This place used to be good, just ordered picked up whole chicken salchi papas, tostones and salad. The chicken was bland, the tostones were more like getting ripe bananas that were fried. I should have ordered through Uber Eats so this way I could have gotten a refund. Bring back the old chef and cooks.

The food was horrible, Is is not a real Peruvian restaurant. they use the same oil from the fried fish for the French fries it gave it a awful taste. Overall not a good experience.

Chévere was amazing! The new management was friendly and helpful. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. The food came out quickly. It was delicious! I switched out the rice for a salad in the steak with onions meal. The steak was cooked to perfection while still being tender. The homemade flan was the perfect ending. The homemade juice was just the right amount of sweetness. I would definitely come back again.

The food is amazing but if you make an order of 100 dollars you have to pay Half or be there with in 15 minutes before the food is done to pay it. If not they will not make the food

This was a great discovery! The food was fresh and tasty. We only had seafood, no meat. We had the jalea, very generous in calamari, shrimps, fish and even half a small crab!! There were fried yuca but not that many. We also had the tostones and sweet plantain, and a small salad that comes with half an avocado. Sangria pitcher was ! There are high chairs available for infants and a changing table in the bathroom for babies. As a Haitian from Montreal, I definitely recommend this spot!
