The French style food is delicious and the atmosphere is cozy, but the bar service leaves much to be desired. Some friends and I had dinner there recently and finished the evening with a drink at the bar. Rather than enjoying the evening, we were rushed out of the bar a little after 10 pm because the bartender wanted to close. It ended our nice evening on a sour note. Considering the expensive cost of a meal and drinks, we shouldn’t feel like we are being herded like sheep.

Living on Capitol Hill, I never suspected feeling like venturing to NW DC was some great trek. Last night I did feel that way, but in the end Chez Billy made it all worth it.

Chez Billy was great. Two of us had the mussels and really enjoyed them. Two of us had the steak and though they were so-so. Space is large and alluring. Service is friendly. It’s nice that the Hilton brothers are venturing into Petworth. If only happy hour was offered throughout the restaurant and not limited to the bars (although I suppose that’s the case with most places). Fun place for a weeknight.

Some of the best food you can get in DC. Hands down. It happens to be French. It’s superb and should be at least twice as expensive so it’s a deal all around! They also have an amazing wine list as well as wines by the glass. And delicious cocktails not to mention a really cozy decor that appeals to both men and women. So it’s worth the trek up to Petworth!

Love the atmosphere here – it’s warm and cozy with real wood burning fireplaces and exposed brick walls, and the dim lighting make it quite romantic. My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday night, it was pretty busy but with our reservation we were seated right away at a cute little table upstairs overlooking the bar.

As a black man i was treated badly the three bar tender two white males and one black made me wait until they felt like waiting on me they just stood their i tried to get them to wait on me for more than 10 minute. When one of them did come over to wait on me a female called him he put me on hold again. When he did wait on me he was acting very nasty. The day before i was their the white female was very nice excellent service thats why i return, also i left my scarf their it was return to me by the security. I will never visit their again. The council woman ask us to give them our business also a fellow police officer Frost said it was a nice place. Not for black men. I am a police supervisor. (Bad service)

Delicious brunch, fair prices. I really enjoyed my meal and coffee. Atmosphere was a little bit dark (not a lot of light) for my taste.

Charming place out of the main areas. The beer garden is a great addition. Never know if it will be busy or abandoned
