Chez Bojji is a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion! If you were a fan of Casablanca, you will recognize a few old favorites. The Moulin Rouge Cabaret chicken is as incredible as I remember from both previous locations. There isn’t a mocktail menu; however, when I asked if they had any, the server offered to make something up for me, asked my preferences & dislikes, and brought me something perfectly delicious. There are unique upscale dishes on the menu (some dishes change, don’t rely on the website) as well as interesting burgers for those who may be less adventurous. Beautiful aesthetic, decorated for springtime, with the perfect instrumental music in the background. The historic Avalon location is worth reading about. It’s definitely a place not to be missed! BONUS: The Wednesday night date night special pricing can’t be beat!

A lovely relaxing atmosphere. We went for the Wednesday night date special and would definitely go back! We had a bottle of wine, two entrees, and dessert as part of the date night special. We also added crab nachos as an appetizer and they were so good!

Very nice restaurant, and pretty good food for Rochester. We went for the Indian pre-fixe menu and enjoyed it. The pre-fixe menu consisted of three dishes, each with a generous portion size. The first was “garbanzo bean soup” (chana masala) with spinach samosa. Flavors were good but would have liked the garbanzos to be slightly more cooked. The next was a vegetable cabbage masala which had all the expected Indian flavors, but was surprisingly very spicy (my husband is Indian and we eat spicy frequently). I had to tone it down a bit with extra yogurt. The last dish was a shrimp rice dish, which I’m guessing was their take on biryani. We also had the seasoned fries with yum yum sauce, which was okay. I ordered a Mai Tai with everything and it was standard. The servers were nice and made sure we had everything we needed. The inside of the restaurant is actually very beautiful. Chef spent a few minutes talking to us, which was very kind of him. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, and I’d be happy to return again for dinner

We came out tonight to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We have children, getting away especially on a week night can be a challenge. We were excited to try the food. Our server was a very nice young man. However, he seemed to have half the room. He was literally like a ping pong ball. Anytime we needed water, the check, dessert he wasn’t around. They were seriously under staffed. We spent a lot of time waiting during the night.

Absolutely fantastic! The people, the place, the food, the whole atmosphere was just amazing. Cannot give a higher recommendation for this place! The perfect spot to have a romantic evening with your significant other or just relax and read a book. Perfect.

Words cannot express how amazing the food is here. I highly recommend the chefs plate special. I got served food that I would normally turn my nose up for and loved it! Everything was a new a flavorful taste exploration. I’m looking forward to my next visit there.

We had a lovely meal for four with attentive and helpful service by Malachi. My halibut was fresh, as promised, in a delicious sauce. The lamb was just right and came with a middle eastern spiced rice. The Moulin Rouge was a big hit, but very rich. Enzo Pasta with shrimp was also excellent. If they offer the brownie, say yes! We split it 4 ways and everyone loved it. The cooking was creative, beautiful, and tasty. We’ll definitely be back.

Food quality was mediocre for the price you pay. Salad was served with an overwhelming amount of salad dressing. Nachos were served with a small amount of crab meat and the flavor was bitter with not much of any other flavor complimenting. Seasoned rice was over salted and the veggies tasted bitter. Noone seemed to taste any of the food before it was served. When we brought our concerns up to staff, we were told noone has ever made any complaints about the items we ordered. We should’ve paid attention to how there were only two other tables that were occupied. Our waiter was kind, but slow to get us anything. This added more stress to our time there. We’ll be going elsewhere.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening at Chez Bohji. The restaurant itself was lovely, very modern and bright. Our waiter, Malachai, was friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. The food was interesting, super fresh and absolutely delicious. My husband and I probably could have shared an entree as we’re not big eaters but having an the opportunity to sample several dishes was worth it. We’ll definitely be back.
