4 stars given because 2 things could improve. (Please read further) Came here day 4 after they opened. Nice to see soulfood in this well blended community. Even though they had just opened, service was way beyond, professional, friendly and warm. The food is surely top notch. Taste like mommas in there. This will surely be a frequent go to for me. But I have to say even the best survives, true, unbiased tweeking to become the best. Only 2 things I would like to see is cut back on the salt and serve fresher vegetables. The collard greens had a leftover taste. And too much salt is not necessary. But I promise you these are minor details that in no way reflect what they offer. Good food, Good service, Great people.

Best soul food in Grovetown. Female owned too? Wow. The owner is so nice. She does it by herself from what I know, it takes a little while but she makes it happen. I will always have patience when it comes to that because she handling it all. I came in and she had about 9 people come in at one time, I saw plates being made, heard dishes moving around, and she was on the grill. I salute her. If you don’t have patience, find somewhere else but it is definitely worth the wait. She said that this is just a soft opening but there will be a full staff when it gets open for real. I’m there at least 3 times a week now. Highly recommended. Hands down.

FRAUD!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!!! I would give them ZERO STARS if I could. Placed an order online. Received confirmation email that instructs you to pull around to the back of the building. THE BUILDING IS COMPLETELY EMPTY!! No restaurant there! The phone number on the confirmation is NOT IN SERVICE! Phone number on Google rings and it then disconnects!! I WOULD JUST LIKE MY MONEY BACK!!! There’s no other option for contact!

I’m not satisfied with the prices and the food portions. I don’t think that I got enough food for the costs. I think the drinks are over priced for the size of the cups. The lemonade does not taste homemade. It tasted like store bought Minute Maid lemonade. I got the pork chop dinner…the collard greens were over cooked (looked more like turnip greens) and mushy, the cornbread was good and the mac n’ cheese was ok. Not sure about returning to try other items.

Love the dine in option now. I usually go for the cheeseburger and fries. But today I got the bbq chicken. I will say it was very overcooked. Burnt and super dry. I could barely eat it. I was a little disappointed. She also doesn’t have diet drinks at all. Service was very good and everyone else’s meal came out better.

The food is amazing!! Best fried chicken I’ve had in a long time. They seem to be new and run by a very nice couple so please support. Better food, portions and service than most other soul food spots in this area. Highly recommend!

I placed two DoorDash orders from this place. They accepted and confirmed the orders, and then when the dasher arrived told them what we ordered was not available. Frustrating as hell especially since I had to wait five days for my money to go back to my card. Haven’t tried the food and based on the two times I tried to order I will not try this restaurant again. Just horrible customer service.
