Hot food burning through styrofoam causes cancer now the styrofoam is directly on my food, continually putting hot chicken wings straight out of the fryer into styrofoam containers is not healthy for customers, the food even burns through the container in some instances.

First time here. Ordered 2 perch dinners that came with bread and fries. The perch was delicious. I gave 4 stars because the fries were hard and we had to be persistent on getting more sauce. 5 huge pieces of fish were in each dinner. Seasoned very well. Also had 2 coleslaw which were very tasty.

Their Philly cheese Chicken and Beef steak sandwiches are so delicious and satisfying. Gyro plate very generous in portion and tastes amazing. The Head chef and owner of the restaurant works very hard.

Initial Thoughts: the name is misleading. When I read “Chicago Munchies” I was thinking more of iconic foods like Chicago Style Dogs or Pizza and stuff along those lines. Instead, this is a fish and chips, fried food type joint.

Amazing Food! I got the burger and fries and the chicken strips absolutely amazing they seasonin the chicken strips made fresh and breaded so good. The cake was awesome as well! Thank you for your friendly service and great food

It says it’s Hala but there os no other indicator of knowing if it’s hala or not so they need to clear that and explain it more instead.

The food is good and the portions are huge. The lady behind the counter is all smiles. I only went 4 stars because the dining area could stand repair and some people may not be comfortable with the location. If you can get past that, go hungry because you will get a great meal.

The owner opens whenever he feels like it. I’ve been a loyal customer for the last couple of years. I ordered the 20 piece wing, got home this evening and it tasted old. Called to inform them and asked for a replacement and was instructed to bring it back. Brought it back and was given a refund instead of being replaced, like a good restaurant would. I even tried to call back and reason with the owner- no go. They definitely lost a loyal customer tonight!
