Ordered for Delivery. First time ordering here. Sushi was delicious, I ordered the Godzilla tempura Roll & Gyoza, I’ve gotten gyoza bigger in size for cheaper but the quality of it still makes it good/worth it. Perfect amount to fill me up for a short lunch!

Updating my first review from when they opened back in August 2022! Food, Service, and Atmosphere ratings were not available then but now adding 5-stars all-around. Have gone a few times since then but came back this time for their updated menu. This spot has grown to offer more Sushi and Ramen options, as well as Beer and Japanese Cocktails, with Japanese cocktails and Sake at $8 which is not bad at all. All meal items are still made to order, of course. Added pictures here are their Spicy Tuna Nigiri, Spicy Salmon and Onion Nigiri, and Caterpillar Roll (shaped and looked to be a caterpillar!) which comes with some Takoyaki flakes. Nigiri orders come in 2pc orders. All very tasty and just enough in portions for a nice dinner meal. All orders still come with a small bowl of Miso. There is usually one server manning the entire spot which can seat up to about maybe 30-40 people(?), and they are very attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. Will need to try their newly added options next time of Japanese Curry and Japanese Curry Ramen, Ramen de Pasta, as well as their Chriashi Sushi aka Jewelry Box.

Great quality sushi with a large, unique menu. I recommend getting any or all of the hand rolls and the jewelry box. I do not recommend getting the scallop pasta; noodles were a bit soggy and the sauce was not as flavorful as I thought it would be. But everything else was very delicious!

We loved this place. Hand rolls were fun and made to order. The chef hands them to you and you should eat them immediately. The jewelry box seafood and rice was delicious and flavorful. We didn’t need any sauces for it because it was seasoned beautifully. The spicy noodles were good, but not spicy at all! I could have used more spice, I was expecting heat in this dish. Our server was attentive and friendly We will be back to try more menu items.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. The unagi (eel) bowl is good and comes with a delicious bowl of red miso soup. We also ordered the vegetable hand rolls, which are simple single-serving 3 or 4 bite rolls with one or two ingredients each, and a good option for picky kids. The mochi ice cream comes in a variety of flavors to choose from (strawberry, mango, vanilla, black sesame) and each of the three balls is quartered for easier sharing or bite-sized portions. Excited to try Chicago Sushi as it’s same owners of Chicago Ramen. I love Chicago Ramen so I had high expectations but to be honest, it was ok. Having opened in 2022, but the decor is of 1990s. Service was excellent. There was nothing special about this place and am not sure if I’d go out of my way to visit. I’d rather go next door for ramen. Here’s what we ordered:

Exciting new items added to menu! We been to Chicago Sushi a few times and was getting a little tire of their small menu. This past Sunday we revisited and were so excited to find out they expanded their menu with new items. We tried 2 of the new rice bowls and both were very good. However the uni pasta was the real highlight. It was actually ramen in uni pasta sauce. We will definitely be back soon and please keep innovating and bring us new exciting menu items.
