Wow, I can’t believe that I ate the whole thing. Yeah, I did. The combo platter with gyro, chicken, and beef. The salad was massive and came on its own plate. The fries were in a separate basket.

Enjoyed our meal here, figured we’d try a new place in the area that wasn’t the typical chain restaurant. We liked the Gyro meat, salad, fries and cheesesteak. Looks like a hole in the wall on the outside but inside it’s much bigger than it looks. Would have possibly given 5 stars but the man cooking the food was very rude to his employe running the register and barked at her/us for not ordering correctly. She seemed new but you shouldn’t let your customers see your negative outings with an employee. We’d try it again though. Everyone has a rough day. Also, a little pricier than expected for the amount of food we received.

No one greeted me when I entered the restaurant and stood at the counter. The older man in the back (who I assume is the owner?) just gave me a dirty look when I greeted him with a smile. The girl who was supposed to be running the counter never greeted me. She just asked what I wanted to order after I’ve been waiting about 5 or 6 minutes. Absolutely no customer service…. But, the food was very good. I had spanakopita and dolmas with salad. But, probably won’t go back.

Excellent Greek food. Tuesday night I got the chicken pita with fries. Fresh and delicious chicken ,was tender and pita was warm and fresh. Next day for lunch I got the chicken kabob with rice salad and falafel. So much flavor fresh rice, and salad was so crisp. Sides were a pita and tzatziki! My go to Greek favorite place!

Over all a good meal. Gyro sauce was a bit runny and low in flavor. Asked for no onions and got extra onions. Wouldn’t of bee so bad except once pulled the off, the onions were so strong the flavor was still there. All 3 of us had one hard chunk in the meat. Glad no dental damage. Just be careful.

My family and I had an amazing time at Chicago #1 Gyro. We spent $100 on our meal and it was worth every penny. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

Iv been eyeing this places forever! I love me some good Greek food. A little bit more on the pricey side, but what isn’t now a days. Friendly staff and good food! Big portions. The only thing missing was some taziki on the Greek fries! at least for me.
