Late-lunch made right!!! We were heading northeast. On the way, took a pit stop at this great local authentic Mexican restaurant in Scranton, PA. It was just amazingly delicious food that we had here! My husband enjoyed his vegetarian burrito and I enjoyed the #20 on the menu – scrambled eggs, rice, and beans. Their sauces were very different from other Mexican restaurants and were out of the world. Service was great! Staff very friendly and restrooms very clean. Would highly recommend!!

Lots of great reviews here, unfortunately my experience didn’t track. Beef and chicken were severely dried out, seemed to be sitting in the steam table a bit too long, overall both dishes were extremely bland. Staff was really nice. Your mileage may vary.

Felt unwelcome as a white person. Perhaps I am wrong, but Hispanic family that came in ten minutes after us was doted on and got there food well before us while we barely got service. Waitress seemed to regard us as “sus” from the start, and items were forgotten. Of course I had to ask, and it was like I did something wrong. Food is okay, they are definitely lower tier for this area. Owner is not friendly either. Save yourself the trouble and go to a friendly, authentic Mexican place like Hacienda Volcan.

Delicious food with great prices. Wasn’t crowded at all but parking is a bit tight (small lot with about 4 spots I think, and street parking available but that was limited). Very friendly staff and fast service. They provide complimentary chips and a creamy chipotle dip which was so delicious and unique! The tamale I got was a little soggy, but it was so good I barely noticed. Would recommend if you’re visiting or even live nearby.
