Ordered via uber eats. It’s…. fine, if a bit dry. Burrito is 5.5 inches long which is definitely on the small side. $15 burrito and $8 churros. Plus $10000000 in uber eats add on fees for delivery….$35 all in for delivered lunch. Not cheap. I might try them again but definitely not via delivery. Far more likely to visit Casa Villa on the post road…$10 burritos not $15.

In fairness, I’d probably give Chicho’s a 3.5 if I could. The restaurant is small, but super cute. I loved the interior sign – “all you need is love & tacos.” The staff was friendly and helpful. So on to the food – I ordered Shrimp Tacos. Overall the tacos were good, but could be great. I thought the Mexican corn on the tacos was a really nice and cool addition. The chipotle slaw was ok, but could have had more chipotle kick, and honestly between the creamy corn and a creamy slaw, it was way too creamy. The diced onions on top were a little too big for my liking. I was disappointed by the shrimp as they seemed to be pre-made (frozen) popcorn shrimp. I was also disappointed that they only used one tortilla per taco. With corn tortillas, I am accustomed to have double tortillas, especially as full as the tacos were. It became a little challenging to eat the tacos. I am not sure if I would go out of my way to visit Chicho’s again, but glad I tried them. Other notes: I had no issue parking, but it is street parking.

This is with no thought my favorite mexican food restaurant in stamford. The tacos and the bowl are sooo good. Rice and beans are always cooked perfectly.

We like to order takeout from here, and the food is always warm and delicious. The al pastor tacos are the best I’ve had in Stamford. I also recommend the taquitos, bowls, and burritos. Honestly, probably everything on the menu is great! We will continue to order from here for many years to come!

I love this place!!! My coworkers and I order from here almost every week and are never disappointed. The food is incredible and portions are big. If you like chipotle, this is the much much better more authentic version of it. Highly recommend giving it a try 🙂

My husband and I have ordered Chichos once a week for the last two months on Uber Eats. We were thrilled when we found them because we’d tried several places first while searching for our Mexican spot after moving to the area last summer, and we were disappointed in other restaurants.

3.5 stars but food is solid compared to other local options. I will be back. More authentic than Bar Taco and Bodega but same pricing without the ambiance. Some seating but more of a take out spot (e.g., plastic silverware only). I love their barbacoa and carnitas tacos. I’ve previously had their fried shrimp tacos but was not a fan. The tortilla and creamy cole slaw were on point but the shrimp was your basic supermarket breaded frozen shrimps. More breading then shrimp. Solid guacamole and chips. The horchata is okay – too sweet for my taste. Not a fan of the Loco Elote but l don’t like Tajin chili powder. If you like it, you may enjoy it.

Picked up food and missing sauces, salsa, sour cream for quesadillas. Annoying because you have to check it on the order. Very annoying as not having it definitely ruins the meal. Overall, it’s expensive as every dish is approx $15 whether a burrito, nachos or quesadilla. They seem very stingy on napkins, sauces, salsa and sour cream, utensils even with high prices. Burrito is definitely small along with nachos. Nachos are packaged horribly. Both are over priced and examples of shrink flation.
