My husband and I went through the drive thru of this establishment & ordered a 9 piece gizzard & 2 piece fish dinner. While the young worker was taking our order we were asked what sides we would like. My husband asked where the sides were on the menu board. The young worker pointed us to where the sides were listed but began to say the sides aloud. The young worker then stated “we have okra, potatoes, watermelon……” My husband asked “what did you just say? Did you say watermelon?” The young worker replied “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to say that”. We spoke to a manager (that stated he was new to the area, from Texas) but were brushed off as he stated “I’m sure he didn’t mean anything by it” I’m not sure what else that comment could have meant other than a racial slur. In all of the time we have gone to this establishment we have NEVER known them to sell or offer watermelon, even seasonal. I’m 99.99% sure we won’t be back & prayerfully everyone we tell won’t be back either

I have read a couple of negative reviews about Chicken Express but I have had good experiences there. So far I have eaten the chicken tenders the liver and gizzards and the catfish… The gizzards are tender. So far so good I’ll keep going back

5 stars are not enough!!!! Second time here, the food was hot and delicious. If you like gizzards this is the place to go, they cook them to order. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. A great model on how to run/ manage a business. Keep up the good work!

The food is tasty enough, though some of it had cooled. The price is cheaper than some local competitors, but the company really needs to remove the “Express” from the name of the company, as nothing about our lunch experience represented haste, hurry or express. The overworked, single front end employee could not keep up with customers, purchases, phone calls and meal delivery. Meanwhile the copious back end staff slowly, ploddingly, methodically stacked product with all the cares of a corpse in the grave. This is all disconcerting, bad employee action, but represents a far more egregious lack of management. Get your act together!
