Picked up a 24 piece bucket and large fry bucket. I am giving it a 5 since it was still a pretty damn good tasting meal. Now, I have been coming here as a kid since the 80’s. It has been a good 5 years since I had some since I no longer live near town and I will say I remember it being better. I know the original owner(s) passed away and family still owns it. As far as chicken goes, I would come here over KFC/Popeyes any day, still very tasty!

I chose Chicken Galore as my birthday dinner yesterday. I have always enjoyed the chicken and ribs from the Woodbridge location for easily 30 years. Being closer to the Kearny locationI thought we would try it out. I must say that I was very disappointed in my choice, especially since we purchased food for 6 people. Ribs and chicken were overcooked and dry. Appetizer combo was mushy and tasteless. Although I will not be recommending this location, I may try them again. Everyone deserves a second chance.

It breaks my heart writing this review but this place has fell off a great deal. I’ve been ordering Chicken Galore since the 80’s. I use to order from here bi-weekly until recent years. The batter is not the same. The size of the chicken and portion are much smaller. It’s obvious they don’t change their oil as much as they should. It’s so disappointing. Years ago, you’d see a line and people double parked to pick up food here, now you rarely see anyone ordering food here. It’s a shell of what it use to be.

I got the family bucket. The chicken was juicy, but not as tender as when I last tried it a few years ago. Don’t get me wrong, the batter they use is still flavorful! Unfortunately, they forgot the cranberry sauce that was supposed to come with the bread rolls. My #1 complaint is that the menu and the chalk board hanging in the store both specifically mention 13 fried Oreos for one set price but the man behind the counter refused to honor that price. He insisted on only selling 12 for the same cost.

I ordered a 20 piece dinner today and it was awesome. The chicken was hot and juicy, even the breast. Great mashed potatoes and gravy really hit the spot. I would also like to wish them a happy 50th anniversary. The have been around for a long time and it’s because of quality and service. You don’t stay for 50 years if you don’t know what you’re doing. Hurts to say but I’ve let this go way to far ! I live there chicken but first of all every time I order they give me less and less fries to the point where I could count it. Second over priced to the max, I always get different prices all the time like I don’t get it ! Im just upset that it had to come to that point, been eating here for so long.
