My husband, son and I tried Chicken Stop for the first time August 24, 2023. I had heard they had very good fried catfish. Well let me tell you it is the best I’ve had. It was perfectly cooked, there slaw and hush puppies were delicious. My son had the fried okra and mac and cheese with his. He said it was delicious. It was cooked perfect and was seasoned well. We have always gone to a fish place in Columbus, Georgia and another location in Phenix City, Alabama. They have good fish but Chicken Stop has them beat. The staff is very nice. We did have to wait a few minutes for the whole fish but it is cooked to order. Great food is worth the wait! If you haven’t tired it you’re missing out! They have us as a customer for as long as they stay open. We will definitely try there other menu items.

Good experience over all. I was excited because they offer grilled chicken, rather than the locally typical fried… they know how to fry chicken & their fried food in general is done very well, so I’ll have to stick to their fried foods.

Food was good. Wait time was bit long, but I guess that’s expected with freshly fried fish. Overall, nice staff. The young lady was well informed and eager to help this first timer. I’d go back.

Have dined in and waited 45 minutes for food, employees talking to each other instead of waiting on customers. Tried to call today for takeout and called 11 times and phone was busy every time ⌚.

I decided to stop with my wife to try the food after everyone from Alabama was talking about how good the fish and chicken was. I have a fish allergy so I was just sticking with the chicken. We had some difficulty understanding the order process while there so we ended up ordering via phone outside of the place. It was a 30 min wait and when returning the food was ready as soon as I went outside. The food was really good and I couldn’t get enough of it, I had the hot wings battered and my wife had the fish which she loved. Def would tell anyone try it if you done in Alabama.

They got the best catfish that I have ever eaten. It was so good I had to park and eat it. Plus I will be going back also. They got good spirited people working in there and also a good atmosphere place. I would recommend this place to every customer. You can’t go wrong with the Chicken Stop and you will not be disappointed either. Plus they got good prices also.

Only 3 stars because of service received. I calleD and order my food 10 to 15 mins prior to arriving. A Gentleman walks in before i do and orders his food at the counter. He ended up receiving his food before I did and mine was placed 10 to 15 mins before his. Items were also missing off my sandwich. I also don’t understand why charge for sauce when it sits out on the counter and can get it for free. Makes no sense. So basically charge because one is a plastic container with lid and one is a paper? Food was great and would of gave 5 stars.

The parking blocks in the parking lot are an absolute trip hazard. Poor lighting. The entire place is in Violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, which is Federal Law!!! The entrance door, seating, and restrooms are All breaking Federal Law! Overpriced and the food was nothing to write home about!

This place is clearly a community institution and the food is not bad. The folks there missed one of our orders, but the tenders were that. Tender and delicious and came with a hood selection of sauces.
