Such a beautiful and amazing place! I am so glad something like this is in Newark now and it is such a lovely addition to our community—especially downtown! There so many neat and interesting foods, candies, wines, and other drinks that are offered here and affordable! They even have deli meats and cheeses along with subs and salads made to order! Will definitely be returning to this awesome place!!

Scrumptious foods! Made-to-order subs (huge proportions), fresh salads, variety of unique sodas and beverages. The deli meats offered are delicious, with good prices. They offer many organic food varieties, vintage brand candies Amish hand pies in numerous flavors. Friendly staff who like to chat. Sitting at their sandwich bar, the outside views are of the beautifully updated historical town square. A delightful place to shop, with a historical background and nostalgia all its own!

The shop has a neat atmosphere and is perfectly placed for walking traffic. Finding a close parking spot can be a bit of a challenge, but there’s usually parking somewhere nearby along the square if you’re up for a short walk. We love going to McKenna’s for the assortment of cheese, condiments, and snacks! The staff have always been very friendly and helpful. Everything I’ve tried on the hot food menu has been yummy, but be prepared for a wait if you go during the weekday lunch hour. I’ve heard a rumor that they might be expanding their dine-in options by incorporating the former Subway restaurant space. I really hope that’s true because the bar seating along the window is close quarters and I feel rather like an animal on exhibit in the zoo each time I’ve eaten there. 🙂

I was unaware of the new name but went in and we grabbed a delicious sub and salad as always!!! They are so fresh, and don’t skimp on anything! I noticed it wasn’t as stocked as usual which gave away to finding out about the transition. Best of luck!
