Chili John’s is located in Burbank CA and is the oldest standing restaurant in Burbank. This is an iconic location that is know from Coast to Coast for our famous chili and our original 1940’s diner seating. Chili John’s is an important historic restaurant that has been an important part of the community since 1946. Chili John’s has been featured in many iconic TV show, movies and commercials. It has been a favorite among old time and modern celebrities including Walt Disney and Howard Hughes. Our most recent feature film was Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. A major part of the experience of eating at Chili John’s is being able to eat chili in our original 1940s dining area at our iconic U shaped countertop.

I love this place! First impression of this retro u-shaped diner is of a soda fountain place or greasy spoon counter you see in the movies. Just grab a seat and enjoy talking to your neighbors and fellow chili lovers. All of the chili and food is right in the center of the U, so it’s easy access and you don’t have to wait for your food – it’s just served. I always order the HOT beef chili, sometimes over rice and sometimes spaghetti noodles. Add some beans if you like, top it with sour cream and cheese. Yum! It is not by any means inexpensive, but I think the food is good and you gotta experience this a few times a year. You’re talking like $15 for a large chili, a piece of pie, and a coke. Very friendly staff. Parking is easy, bathroom is thru the kitchen in the back.

As a chili aficionado I cannot in good conscious recommend this restaurant. Atmosphere is cool and guy working seemed nice.. service was still lacking though as he never brought us water. Chili was insanely greasy, me and my friend were actually laughing about it. I siphoned off an entire small takeout cup of grease and there was still more. After a tip (which perhaps I should have skipped) the bill for one bowl of chili was $20. Insanely overpriced for what I got. Will not be going back.

Chili John’s is such a cool and nostalgic place to get some AMAZING chili!! By far the best chili I’ve ever had and yes it’s spicy but that’s how chili should be made not to mention that their history is also interesting. My family and I stopped for lunch, had great chili, super yummy malted milkshakes, and took home as much chili as we could. Guy Fieri was totally right when he said this place is Dynamite

If you haven’t been to Burbanks longest operating restaurant then you have been missing out. They have the chili restaurant that dates back to the 1900’s comes from Green Bay. The ultimate chili dog is definitely the best dog I’ve had. The chili spaghetti is rich and hearty, perfect for the cold weather. And the snoop dog chili cheese fries are crack! Make sure you save room for dessert since they have a delicious lemon pie. I wish I lived around the corner from here so I can have this at least twice a month.

Stopped by Chili John’s on a whim and I’m so glad I did! Not only was everyone welcoming, but the service was top tier. Ally was amazing every step of the way! On top of that, the chili was one of the best I’ve ever had. I got the chili cheese fries and the serving size was huge. My boyfriend got the chili with rice and he loved it as well. There are different chili options too including vegetarian. We will definitely be coming back!!!
