Debbie is so wonderful! We love the chill vibe of this place and our daughter loves playing with the toys they have there. The food is WOW. Homemade creamy Italian dressing? Yes please! We had their special of the day and it was a great choice! Always gotta finish it off with homemade apple pie a’la mode yum yum!

Stopped here to stretch our legs. Glad we did. The food was excellent. Bill says, “That had to be the best Reuben I have had in my life”. Service was great including the history of the area. Fabulous ! If I could rate it a 6 I would…

There isn’t another restaurant for miles on this stretch of highway 64, but even if there was, Chili Line Depot would be worth the stop. I was surprised by just how much of their food was completely homemade and seriously delicious; the apple, green chili and piñon nut pie was a standout and I don’t think I’ll have anything else like it in my life. Not to mention the staff and owner were so welcoming to us and we had a great conversation about the history of the place. Highly recommend

Great food. I had a burger & the potato salad – and both were wonderful. Deb was fabulous, despite being busy… same with the cook. Took some pie to go, which was yummy once I got home. I plan to head over for breakfast next weekend.

It is such a cute diner type place with hamburgers, sandwiches, and Mexican food. The coffee was good too. We split a BLT sandwich. (So there were two plates like the one in the photo) The waitress was friendly. Highly recommend!

Stopped in to Chili Line Depot to grab a coffee before starting a bike ride in the area. Headed back in for dinner after the bike ride, lucked in to live music in addition to great food (had burritos and Green Chili Apple with ‘pine’ nuts) and friendly fast service. The owner (Deb) recognized us from morning coffee and came to say hi – she showed us a picture of Glen Campbell when he got his start there in the 40s. I wish I had a place like Chili Line Depot in my neighbourhood, I’d be a regular.

The Chile burger is so good! The staff is friendly and fast, I’m so surprised this place exists! It’s not the four seasons, but it’s a 5-star experience all of its own

Now I know why everyone raves about the green chili pinon apple pie. Wonderful roasted green chili gives it a smokey flavor with a nice kick of heat. My wife enjoyed the Frito pie and danced two step with a young whipper snapper who was more than willing to oblige.

Worth the trip off the beaten path! Got to chat with owner Debbie – fascinating conversation about local history! Most meat is fresh from their own local ranch! Homemade deserts! Loved my burger and homemade potato salad! Beer and wine! Nice outdoor patio – dog friendly!! Resturant with lodge rooms. Next trip we’ll plan to stay the night! Note half price drinks and music Saturday nights!

We left Santa Fe taking 285 to get to Denver. We did not know there would literally be nothing, not a gas station, diner, etc for 81 miles. Luckily we found the Chili Line Depot in Los “Pie”dras, NM. My husband and I have never had an apple pie quite as excellent as the apple green chile apple pie at the Chili Line Depot!!! We plan to time things better next time to get there for lunch!!!
