Chima Steakhouse named after chimarrao, a traditional drink of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, that symbolizes hospitality and friendship-certainly lives up to its name. Legend has it, in South Brazil traditional gauchos (cowboys) would consume a diet that consisted almost entirely of beef. The meat was seasoned, placed on skewers, and slow cooked over a wood burning flame. Historically, gauchos were known for their generosity and hospitality.

We were in town for vacation and went to Chima our last night in town. The atmosphere was beautiful and the service was incredible. Our waiter, Kevin (in picture) was phenomenal and the manager, Omar Arrieta was extremely friendly and hospitable. The staff were amazing and the food was absolutely delectable. We highly recommend Chima!

I’ve been in Fogo de Chão, Texas de Brazil and a few others. China Steakhouse it’s something else. I think this is the best BBQ place I have been. So tasty, good in variety of meats and on the buffet. Cordial staff, beautiful place with an amazing environment. The garlic butter is expetacular, as well the lava cake. The Bacon wrap filet mignon, flank steak, picanha and the linguiça was delicious. Sorry, the food was so good that I hadn’t time for photos. LoL

So this was an amazing experience. The atmosphere is great. Nice place to take someone special, celebrating yourself, celebrating an amazing achievement. You make it, this restaurant is perfect for that. The food is freshly made. They have waiters that walk around with hot fresh meat and they shave off what you want on your plate. They have this really good cheese bread served with a dip and it’s enough to make you want to sit there and just eat this bread. But wait, there is more….. they have a salad bar also hot sides that go with the meat. So the meats that I recalled was Salmon, shrimp, stake, chicken, lamb and I just lost count because I was busy eating. The staff was great as well. Please make reservations b4 you go. It’s worth the time and money spent.

I’m a big fan of Brazilian steakhouses. And Chima is by far the best I’ve ever been in Florida. The service, all waitresses, amazing!! we were never left unattended even though it was a busy Sunday Father’s Day lunch. The meat selection was great and they made sure to always serve us the meats in the temperature we like. Valet Parking was only $8. I have endless good comments about this place and I’m the pickiest person I know regarding restaurants.

Chima Brazilian Steakhouse Ft. Lauderdale is one of the BEST Brazilian restaurants that exist. While some would consider it expensive and it isn’t cheap, it is worth every penny. The ambiance is incredible; the food is outstanding and only of the highest quality. Not only do they serve some of the finest meats and seafood, but their side dishes and salads are also great. One thing I can assure you is that it’s impossible to leave hungry.

Love when a restaurant is an experience. From valet $8 to dessert I had a wonderful time. Start with cheese bread with creamy spread. Salad bar with endless variety. From couscous to cheese to seafood salad every item was fresh and plenty. The selection of meats were good. You can request any meat cooked to your specifications. From chicken to different cut steaks to lamb and salmon. Endless and the Gauchos are always present. You don’t have to look for them. The Rodizio of unlimited meat and salad with mash potatoes, fried banana. The banana boat drink is so good. Not too strong or weak. You don’t need an occasion to experience goodness. Just a desire to eat very good quality food from a place that can serve it up. Come dressed but not overdressed. They say there’s a strict dress code. But I saw some outfits fit for the mall. A great place to celebrate special occasions with a variety of meats and a nice spread of side dishes and salads. Everything is high quality and tasty. I only eat fish so the salmon and shrimp was delicious. None of the others Brazilian steak house are as good as this one. So if you like meat this is the place I would recommend.
