My go to chinese restaurant when im visiting Palm Springs. You will not be disappointed. Huge portions, fresh and tasty! Definately worth a try.

It’s an unsuspecting little Chinese restaurant in a strip mall. They offer the quintessential fixings you’d expect in an old school Chinese joint. The prices are still relatively cheap. The food and portions are better than average for sure.

They are always busy, for good reason. They have really yummy comfort food & a nice staff to help. That’s no filter on my picture of the sesame chicken… that’s how it looked out of the box. Tastes just as good too!

It’s just an okay Chinese American spot. Their shrimp Lo Mein were thin, spaghetti-like noodles, a bit starchy, without much flavor, and absolute zero wok hei. It looked and tasted as if it was steamed, not cooked in a fiery wok. Plus no green onions, regular onions, or even cabbage, and a dismal amount of bean sprouts. I was kind of taken aback. And where’s the garlic? Ginger anyone? Their fried rice was completely tasteless as well, no seasoning or MSG. The egg roll was a bought, frozen product, which was lukewarm (like it had been fried a couple of hours or so before it was served). But worst of all, the filling was pasty inside and totally bland. There is no egg drop or hot and sour soup included in their lunch special, only iced tea or soda. We stopped by this place during the high of the pandemic twice, and really liked it, but now they need to step up their game in the kitchen, big time. I wouldn’t recommend it as is, but l’ll probably give it another try in a couple of months and hopefully update this review.

I ordered shrimp egg foo young. This was the worst meal I ever had. I have no idea how they cooked the egg, but there was little to no egg in it. It seemed like they took egg and bread crumbs, eggs, vegis and mixed it together. This was discusting!!!

I ordered food long-distance for a family member who wasn’t feeling well. He said everything was delicious. Thanks for great food and timely delivery. Will have to check out China 8 in person next time I visit.

One of the better Chinese food places in the coachella valley. We ordered takeout and it was what I expected and more. Great taste for Chinese but isn’t the best of the best. Aside from that, I prefer it over 90% of the Chinese food in the valley. The service is excellent and fast. The actual restaurant could do with some interior redecorating. Nevertheless, give this place a try if you are in the mood for Chinese food.

I was very disappointed with the food. So I came to see the reviews and I thought it was just me but the Mongolian beef had a weird smell, it taste like it was spoiled or I seriously had weird type of meat.. The Teriyaki chicken was filled well both meals filled with onions only… North indio china restaurant food is nothing like this place, they still offer egg soup and there Mongolian beef is amazinngggg. I do not recommend this china 8 at all..

Very disappointing this time. The egg foo young more resembles old, dry bird’s nests then any egg foo young I’ve ever eaten. The fried shrimp were straight out of the freezer section at the market. And the shrimp fried rice was boring. I guess it’s time to find a new Chinese takeout.
