I have no idea why some people complain about this place. Completely unpretentious and super comfortable restaurant. Waitress was very nice and food is rather tasty. We had pork chop noodles, Kalua pork lunch plate & mixed vegetables. We enjoyed our food while listening to Iz the entire time. How much better can it get? Mahalo

We arrived before the dinner rush 4pm-ish. We ordered the dinner special. The appetizers and main dishes arrived in a timely manner. Our server was friendly and attentive. The portions are large enough to share, unless you are really hungry. We thought that the Singapore noodles was the best dish. It is warm inside, but they have ceiling fans. I would come back again.

China Bowl offers a relaxed vibe, quick service, and tasty Chinese food. The tofu with vegetables prepared with spicy garlic chili is 5 stars. Vegetable beef also excellent. Decor features Chinese Bronze Age early writing system. Ambiance is very casual. Good sized portions for hearty appetite, and great for a quick meal.

This place was great! The egg drop soup was delicious nice and hot! The crab wontons were delicious , maybe a little too salty, but paired with the sweet and sour sauce it was perfect. The orange chicken was spicy! Such a pleasant surprise. The plain lomein noodles tasted so good. I would highly recommend this place.

There are not many different food options around Kaanapali Maui (most just offer burgers and fish tacos) so we initially felt lucky to find an asian place. However, the fried rice could have used more salt, sweet and sour chicken would be great with more sauce and egg rolls were not as good what we have had before at other asian restaurants.

While on vacation, a few of us enjoyed dinner at China Bowl restaurant. In the midst of expensive tourist restaurants with mediocre food, China Bowl stands out as a gem. It appears to be a family-owned restaurant with very conscientious customer service. We really felt looked-after!! The prices were great and the food was very hot and of VERY HIGH quality!!! Do not go!! Food was mediocre and you will be left with lovely bathroom issues after. When you walk in you can just tell it’s gonna hurt your stomach. Save yourself the drama on vacation.
