This placed came highly recommended and I’m highly disappointed. The fried wings are really good. The fried rice seems to be steamed. No flavor. No fried wok taste. No veggies in rice such onions, etc. It was basic rice with meat. We threw most of our food away. We were told that is authentic New York good Chinese food. Well this ain’t it. My disappointment is an understatement.

You guys are fantastic, and I will continue ordering from here for as long as I’m here in Summerville. Hands down the best Chinese food around these parts. Generous portions, absolute quality food, and prices that beat all others around here. I live 24 minutes from China City, and I’ll give make this drive for their food. Keep up the awesome work y’all!

Phenomenal Chinese centric food in the scope of Summerville. Service is quick and welcoming. The atmosphere is completed with regulars that consistently return for their well cooked Chinese rooted dinner. Some regulars return more so for the employees that are well know for their communication skills ranging from Spanish to English, as well as their long time commitment to 15+ years of giving quality work everyday to people of all different backgrounds.

Guy over the phone told us 10 minutes, arrived 15 minutes later food wasn’t ready. 45 minutes latee food finally ready, cold when got I got home (live 5 minutes away). 5 customers behind us got their food before us and they placed their food in the store. Door Dash customer’s driver left when he was ahead of us and still didn’t get the food. You wonder why restaurants are closing! Poor customer service! Don’t tell your customers it will be ready in 10 minutes if it isn’t going to be ready in 10 minutes.

I’ve moved to this area after living in NYC for the past 20yrs. Naturally I’ve been trying to find Chinese cuisine that came close to what I was use to up north. Naturally we checked views and based off the views me and my daughters tried 2 other locations and was not happy. So when we came to China City, we were skeptical. Well I must say, my first time at China City was awesome. Had I done a review then (1 year ago) they would have gotten 5 stars . However these past 6 months has been a little hit or miss. The food is still good. It’s the mix-up in my order that has been disappointing. I don’t live in the area. I actually live about 25 minutes away. So yes I travel for what I want when it comes to food. We order via phone call. Same order as always. However the last few months, the orders have been wrong. Yes I usually check my food before I leave, but the 2 or 3 times I don’t check seem to be when the mix-up happens. They read back my order everytime, which is why i don’t always check it myself. But lately, even then, there is chance the order is wrong. Thankfully the food is good and we make it work. However it is disappointing when you have your mind set on one thing and get something completely different. That is why I am giving a 4 star rating. (At the location I went to while in NYC, would show us our food before completely packing it up) I think i was spoiled a little with their service. I will be checking every time going forward.

Oh my goodness the best Thanksgiving meal! Delivered via ubereats but will have them deliver directly next time. The jumbo shrimp were cleaned for the sweet n sour and the sesame shrimp, house and regular lo mein was fresh, white rice was presoaked and perfect, beef and steamed fresh broccoli was well loved by the kids, and the crab ragoons were *chefs kiss* delicious.
