I tried this place for the first time and the food was absolutely delicious! I can best describe it as tasting like hibachi-style instead of your typical Chinese takeout. I ordered the Chicken Egg Foo Young Lunch Special with an eggroll and it was so good!

I’ve always liked the food from China City 2, and I’ve never had a bad meal from here. Also, the lady is very nice and friendly. However, since the pandemic began in early-2020, their prices have gone through the roof!!! I understand, same thing could be said for supermarkets, gas, and the supply chain, but this is borderline insane pricing! Maybe their rent went up 75%? Not sure… Whatever the case may be, I used to be able to get a soup, egg roll, and some kind of chicken or beef and broccoli dish, with roast pork fried rice, for around $12. Now it’s around $19. Big difference! Still fresh, clean and tasty, but for a take-out joint, a bit overly expensive, to say the least!

Ordering roast pork fried rice is my safe go-to to test the waters. Hardly no fat and fresh!! I have tried several other Chinese restaurants in the surrounding area and China City 2 in my taste has the best roast pork fried rice and food so far. In fact, I will not go to any other and waist my money. All there food is fresh and they care about what they serve their customers and it shows.

Hot & fresh, but just mediocre. Ribs were a bit chewy, decent flavor. Pork & String beans good but sauce not great. Wontons in soup hard a hard consistency. I will try a 2nd time.

This is the best authentic chinese food in the state of New Jersey!!! I love this place!!! I eat here at least twice a week for lunch or dinner! The spring rolls are incredible and the bbq ribs with the bone is oh so tasty! All the food tastes incredible!!!

All I can say is that if you’re a transplanted NYC folk like myself and family, Chinese food can be hard to top! China City II however pulls it off! Amazing tasting food and quality. The staff is always on point and so friendly. Keep up the great work!

My sons love this place. My oldest always stops by with his wife when they come visit us they love it so much even though they live in an area with great restaurants. I haven’t tried too many things but everything has been great.

Been going here for years. Use to be the best Chinese food around here but quality has fallen off. This, in conjunction with them getting rid of small sizes for their entire menu has just made this an ok Chinese food place that’s gotten really expensive. Chicken with broccoli and a soup will run you 18 bucks. Wish they got back to the basics by offering great food at a reasonable price.
