This place deserves a 5-star! Our party was seated right away for Saturday dinner and the owner was kind and extremely hospitable throughout the entire meal. We ordered plenty of food and all the dishes came out very quickly and with generous portion. Food quality and taste were spot-on, better than many other Chinese places in SF and with much better prices. We recommend the Salt & Pepper Spareribs, Orange Chicken, and the Garlic Spinach.

Got to town for the first night of our four day mini vaca in Monterey and found the China Garden just down the street from our hotel. The place is pretty big with plenty of nice sized booths and tables, and set up nicely with a variety or Asian decor. The hostess/waitress was friendly and attentive and sat us quickly, gave us menus and asked for our drink order. The menu was pretty diverse with plenty to chose from, so if you like Chinese food at all you should be able to find something you’ll like. Everything from the appetizer to the fortune cookie at the end was pretty good and we enjoyed our visit to China Garden

Found this place when our first choice was already closed. Decor is a bit well worn, but very clean. Our server was disinfecting tables when we walked in. Our server was very nice. Food came out VERY quick! Like fresh out the wok in five minutes quick. Food was good, but not outstanding for the price.

The worst experience I have seen. The lady was very impatient when wait us. She charged 2 for 2 cup of water without advanced notice. Okay, that’s fine for me. The bill was 31.57 after tax. Then she swiped my credit card for 34.57. I thought the tips was included so I walked away without further tips.The lady yelled at me. We had argument. She cursed us with unacceptable words. I never seen such terrible behavior in my life. Stay away!

AMAZING! I have come here twice now while on business and both times the service and food was excellent! I love that they bring you soup and tea to start with at no charge. I have had bother the chicken and vegetables and the beef and vegetables. Both were hot and fresh and are the best ibe tasted. Great place for fresh cooked food!
