The food was very good. Very hot and freshly made. Place your order via phone and it will take about an hour to make. But it is worth the wait. No dine in but only take out. There is large quantities of food so would not say it is expensive.

This restaurant is the best deal in town and the food is really good. Not completely authentic Chinese cuisine, however, more palatable then other “Chinese” restaurants in the area. Customer service is very friendly and above and beyond what a person could ask for and you’ll often experience cross table talk as almost everyone knows everyone! Great place to go to spend time with family and friends in a relaxed atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable as well.

One Step Homestead
When you go to a resturant on a friday night at about 5:30 and the buffet is barely filled, the waitressing staff was just standing around, playing on their phones, extremely rude. Noticed .ost of the food that was in the buffet was refried from the previous buffet. Definitely wont be coming here again, I would rather take the hour drive to go to oriental pearl in presque isle.

My son took us there this past September and we all had the buffet. I have lived in Portland, Lewiston, and Bangor in the past and have eaten at many different Chinese restaurants. The food here was the absolute best I have had, anywhere. I would highly recommend the China Garden to anyone who wants great food.
