Good food served family style. Complimentary hot tea and jello is nice. Food is fresh and price is reasonable for eating table service. The service is ok – they are polite and generally attentive they don’t have much personality and that’s pretty much entire staff. The building itself is a bit stuffy at times and really needs a makeover it definitely shows its age . Togo orders filled quick usually about 10 min wait.

it’s been a long time since I’ve been here, and the quality/flavors of the food is still amazing. used to come here quite often when i was dating and even long after i got married with my wife. we have great memories about this place. 35+ years and still going strong. congrats to the great team at China Garden, whose great service and cooking has made it the success this place has been all along. too bad i moved to Texas and just get to come here every now and then.

The friendly service was great! We last went on Mother’s Day and expected a crowd. We were seated immediately and served extremely fast. They have the best Crab Rangoon in Southern California. Prices are a little higher than some places, but well worth the extra bill.

I’ve been coming here for years. Good food and service. The decor has never changed, could use a little tlc but honestly it is still one of my favorites. I’ve never had a bad meal or dish here. Plus you get jello and almond cookies after your meal, bonus 🙂

This restaurant sets the bar when it comes to best bang for your buck great Chinese food! The best Kung Pao Shrimp I’ve ever had by far and I order it every single time I come. While other places skimp you on the shrimp and overload on the water chestnuts, bell peppers, and/or zucchini, you don’t get non of that nonsense at China Gate. Lots of shrimp and peanuts…which is the way it should be.

Food was ok. Dumplings/soup/starters tasted good. Main entrees came out lukewarm and were somewhat flavorful but very over cooked and rubbery. It was inexpensive at least.

I have been a customer for over 30 yrs. Everything is delicious. My favorites are kung pao shrimp, potstickers, and sweet and sour pork. We are always greeted with a smile and the service is magnificent!!

We’ve been going to China Gate for almost 25 years and it is the best Chinese food around. We have traveled to Hong Kong and China for over 20 years and we do know the difference between “authentic” and “American” Chinese food. This place is excellent and the service cannot be beat. They will even customize your order with specific requests.

Went here to look for a place closer. It was eh, not the best chinese food. Sorry but I still perfer golden palace in downey on telegraph. I would rather take the drive over there. Now that place is fresh and the food tastes awesome!
