I was visiting my 86 year old father and he decided to have China Gourmet, which he has been getting delivery from for years, deliver some food. He was told it would be delivered in 40 minutes, but delivery took 90 minutes. This place is 5 miles or 9 minutes away according to Google maps. A female delivery person showed up with 2 bags of food and after my dad gave her a $5 tip, she nastily told him that the drive to his house was too far and he should give her a bigger tip. When he said that they have been delivering to him for years with absolutely no problem and she wasn’t going to get a bigger tip (what?…. For being obnoxiously rude to a long time customer?), she told my father not to call China Gourmet again. So, I am telling everyone…. DON’T ORDER FROM THIS RUDE UNFRIENDLY PLACE!!!!!

The kids being rude is the least of their problems. My boyfriends grandma ordered from here a few weeks ago and she’s been in the hospital since eating their food. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Do NOT order from this place; they are beyond rude and obnoxious as well as forgetful on delivery orders. Time after time they have forgotten items that we ordered and paid for. The food is very inconsistent; not sure what’s up with this place; it used to be excellent; NOT Anymore!! DO NOT ORDER FROM CHINA GOURMET!!!!!

This place is terrible. They deserved zero stars. The health department should definitely inspect this place. Anyone that was cooking the food wasn’t wearing gloves or masks. Everyone that was working there are very extremely rude.

The only reason this place gets a 2 star is because the food is not that bad. They let their teenage children run this place like it’s their home and not a business. The son is always there with all of his “friends” from school, their daughter works the counter and never will give utensils or any sauces unless you specifically ask for them. The kids are rude and obnoxious and cursing all the time. The only reason I had given this plac . 2nd chance was because the food is not bad but I will never go back now as this last time was the worst it has ever been. Good luck with this dive!

Have gone to China Gourmet for several years, but no longer after today’s experience. Called in my order, and as is customary, they took my phone number with my order. When I went to pick up my order they asked for my phone # and then named a couple of items from my order which I confirmed. I paid and headed home only to get a call from them as I walked in the door, Accusing and blaming me of TAKING the wrong order, which they handed me. Granted, I should have checked it before I left the place, but I figured they had their stuff in order. They were very rude on the phone, telling me that I shouldn’t have agreed to an order that wasn’t mine, and that I need to come back to the store immediately to exchange it. I explained to them that they confirmed my number, and a couple of items of the order, which ironically were also included in the order they gave me. Again, they were accusatory saying “you shouldn’t have agreed to an order that isn’t yours.”, as if I wanted an order that wasn’t mine?!!! I told them they should delivery the right order to me and exchange it, since it was their error. They said that would be an extra charge, which I disputed, explaining again that it was their error. Again, they were very rude. I reluctantly went back to the store to get my order, and it’s NOT READY! 20 minutes after I had originally left and 30 minutes after ordering! And nobody was there waiting for the wrong order that they gave me. Then they tried to tell me I owe them more money because my order cost more, which I confirmed with them on the phone where they said I paid for the right order but TOOK the wrong one. Needless to say, I did not pay the different and will NEVER be a customer of theirs again. Horrible customer service. Make a mistake, blame the customer, inconvenience the customer, and then try to charge the customer for their mistake.
