I’ve eaten at some of the highest rating Chinese restaurants in Charlotte, and not one of them matches China Gourmet. Excellent every single time! The beef and broccoli was my favorite dish until I tried the Hunan beef. Yummy!

Got takeout from here the other day and was very pleased. Portion sizes are huge. I had the general chicken and it was good. Could have been a little bit spicier but next time I’ll ask for that. The egg roll was to die for. I will definitely be back.

Just moved here and was looking for some Chinese Food. I gave China Gourmet a go based on the reviews and while the service was good compared to other Chinese restaurants the House Special Lo Mein I got was horrible. The noodles were overcooked and the meat had a weird taste.

The food was good but the small rice was pitiful. I ordered fried rice and it basically was rice with a little soy sauce because there were chuncks of white rice. Also meals dont come with a egg roll which is new for me.

Disgusting! The sweet and sour chicken was YUCK and I’m still not sure what the meat was inside the tasteless, thick and soggy batter. The fried rice tasted like it had been cooked on a griddle right after something had been burnt. So it tasted like burnt cardboard. Aren’t Crab Rangoon’s supposed to have crab in them? Hence the name Crab Rangoon? Not in this case, it should be named “Deep fried in 3 day old grease Cream cheese globs wrapped in a tasteless grease filled shell.” Also, why was there a cherry and stem sitting on top of a carrot? If you have tastebuds, do not eat here.
