Good food and close to home, but you lost me as a customer with the $15.00 card minimum, as I don’t carry cash. I will drive to Clinton from now on for Chinese. You lost $500-750 a year in business. The smarter move would have been to raise prices another 3-4% to cover your CC processing fees.

(2018) Best Chinese take out in the area! Everything always super hot and fresh. They’re super quick and always very polite and friendly. They also have good prices. They’re one of the few local Chinese take out restaurants that do special items too.. like steak and cheese egg rolls, and special combo platters. love it !

I work for at Amtrak which is about 11-13 minutes away from China House and can I just say the drive was more than worth it considering I couldve gone to other closer Chinese spots. I make sure to do my research before going to eat anywhere and the food was great. I Ordered my food around 9pm and they were closing at 9:30pm so I didnt have the highest hopes. But the food was better than expected. I usually work in Syracuse but get called out to Utica every once and a while for coverage. I ordered a sesame chicken combo w vegetable fried rice, crab ragoons, and sugar donuts. Everything was beyond good, especially because I feel like with the Chinese spots in Syracuse, they usually mess something up, causing me to have to order my meal from one place and ragoos or donuts from another place. The ragoons had a good amount of filing and perfect ration of sweetness, to cream cheese, to crab and were nice and crispy-excellent! The food was great, chicken wasnt just all breading, i could actually taste the chicken and the sauce on it was perfect. I usually get soy an duck sauce for my rice and eggroll, but they didnt even need it. Rice had great flavor and so did the prok egg roll. Lastly, the sugar donuts threw me off a little because they didnt have sugar like the classic ones im used to but had more of an icing on the outside, either way they were really delicious! I cant talk enough about how good this restaurant was, definitely my new favorite Chinese spot, cant wait to return to Utica and have it again. Also i paid about $24 for everything i got, very good price in my opinion and for great food!

Ordered last week and they must have changed cooks. It was awful.

I’ve eaten Chinese food all over the US- in NYC, Washington DC, etc. and I still love this place the best. They’re always so consistent, use fresh ingredients, and are incredibly kind. Thank you for always being the best, China House!

Good Chinese food. Reasonable prices. Several of the dishes have a more “homemade” taste than other options.

I order from here every chance I get, which unfortunately is not enough. The people on the phone are always very nice and answer all my questions and/or special requests (they allow certain substitutions with their combo platters for an extra fee, but it’s worth it if you want something like Mei Fun rather than rice). There is a delivery fee but they are consistently quick to deliver compared to many places I’ve ordered from throughout the years. The usual delivery guy is very polite and nice.

Probably the best Chinese resteraunt in the area, food is always perfectly made, staff is friendly, and they are fast. The place itself is small so this is the best place to go if you want to get takeout. 10/10

This is one of my top 3 favorite chinese restaurants in the Greater Utica area. Since we moved we’ve been going out of our way to go here instead of the chinese restaurant around the corner from our new home. The pan fried dumplings are a favorite of ours. My girlfriend and I usually eat them on the drive back to our house… Can you blame us?! We’re hungry, and they’re delicious!
