The food was amazing. We had the chef house family dinner. We got the sweet and sour chicken. It was really good. The breading was light and the chicken was big chunks. The house chow main comes as a mix of beef, chicken, and shrimp. We opted for chicken only. The fried rice was light and not oily as some places. The staff was very attentive and made sure drinks did not get low. The service was fast as well. My family will definitely be back. It was worth the drive from Renton.

I went here awhile back. I decided to take the family to enjoy like a late lunch.. there was a total of four of us. Me, my boyfriend, our daughter, and our grandfather. We ordered our food. They served us. We got our food. I asked for sweet and sour sauce. They gave us a cup of sweet and sour and it had Ants in it. I’m not talking one ant I’m talking like 5-10 ants in that cup. I told my significant other “I ain’t eating our food and dipping my food in that. Do you see that there is ants in this cup.” So my boyfriend tells the server/hostess “there are ants in this sweet and sour sauce.” Server/hostess says “no there isn’t.” We tried to tell him you gave us a cup with ants in this sweet and sour sauce so many times and he really kept denying it. Ok if there was one ant in there he could’ve acted like he didn’t know what it was or how it got in there. But to have multiple ants in the sweet and sour sauce and deny it. You know we left right after that still paid for our food tip them a decent tip. We never went back ever since that day… if you like ants in your food keep going here.. shouldn’t that be a sign to clean up your restaurant more better i don’t know. I wanted to tell the server you eat it then since you didn’t see those ants in the sweet and sour sauce lol. But we didn’t we didn’t react the way we felt we wanted to or maybe should’ve reacted towards this server/hostess that took our food. We didn’t make a scene we just left.. never came back since…

Four of us went for an early dinner, we all had different items. Food was ok. They are under new management, and no longer have a liquor license so it was Chinese or Japanese beer. I had the MuShu Pork, I ended up picking through the vegetables to find the pork. When we split the bill by couple, we had 2 entrees, beer and one appetizer between us. $63 which I though was pricey for two people. Tip is structured on the receipt to be 18, 20 or 25%, which is an aggressive tip structure. Food was average and the price was high.

You know those areas on a chicken breast you aren’t supposed to eat? Like the extra skin and super fatty ends of a breast you typically take off and throw away? Its like they used all of those trimmings, fried it up, coated it in sauce and served it to me. I found myself digging through my food to actually get some good meat to eat but inevitably threw 85% of it away.

China House is always a go to when I’m in Auburn. Food is delicious, the portions are generous and the staff is very personable. Family, friends and I have ordered a variety of items over the years and have not been disappointed.

Everything seemed great until I seen a roach in my water. They tried to dismiss it by saying its probably just a fly as I’m holding the cup in my hand and you can clearly see it’s not a fly. Also just for the record, if it were a fly that doesn’t make it less disgusting. They offered no compensation in any way. So be aware of what’s in your food and drinks when eating there.

Everything was good until we ate…. Flavor ok, rice still hard. Prawns we mushy and not crispy. Pork and mustard and seeds was good.
