Beef and snow peas are a joke. Hardly any beef. Hardly any snow peas. 95% of this dish is water chestnuts that is not advertised or listed on the menu. When I called to speak to manager they didn’t know when they would be in next. When I questioned the dish she said “that’s just how they make it”…..absolutely not okay. Also the amount of employees working there that look like children and most definitely are children should be looked into

A friend in Katy told me about this restaurant a few years ago. I have been a regular ever since. We also love Changs on I-10 at Westgreen, but China Inn Cafe has something I have never found anywhere in Houston. I have always love Chinese BBQ pork ribs, but the fat and bone can make them less than great sometimes. But when the owner moved here from Houston she brought her special Boneless BBQ Pork ribs. No bone and NO fat. My oh my they are delicious. I also especially like their hot and sour soup. I order the large and take half of it home. Yummy. You need to try this place and especially those boneless pork BBQ rib meat. I am adding a photo of my take home soup. I love it. It is loaded with all kinds of good stuff and has just enough bite to treat your taste buds.

Normally order from here for delivery. And today just killed my whole vibe. Usually the food is pretty good but today it was awful and so was delivery guy. I see right now I’m going to be in the bathroom all day tomorrow. The food is disgusting. I order here because it was somewhat decent. Yet not like the Chinese food Katy had back in the day. Idk what the shrimp fried rice taste like. It’s just nasty as hell. Will definitely not order again. $60 gone to waste..I should’ve just went to Dairy Queen (as high as they are).

I ordered the lunch stir fry chicken and shrimp today. It was swimming in so much oil that I could not eat it. The food here is usually very good but today it was not edible at all. I ended up throwing it away. Money wasted.

I never review but had to in this case. Service was horrible for Sunday evening with no one else in the restaurant, took 10 minutes to order takeout and another 45 to get the food after being told 15 minutes. No one at the front of the store and the person bussing tables just watched us waiting while cleaning tables. Made no effort to get any else. Another person who was there before us got angry and just left. Sesame chicken was barely fit for a dog, also ordered chicken with broccoli and mushroom but they forget the chicken. Will not visit again.

The workers worked very hard to makes this a good experience, and VERY good food for great prices HIGHLY recommend.( we came 40 minutes before they closed and they did everything to stay open and serve us)

DONT EAT HERE!!! This place has gone down hill since the original owners left. This is a review long time coming, keep in mind i rarely leave reviews but this place meeded it. Recently I ordered take out from here and they failed to put my rice in the bag, when I called to let them know about the issue, they asked me multiple times if I was sure, like I wasn’t looking at everything in the bag, or I was lying. They offered to give me the rice but I would have to drive down there and pick it up, so I asked if they could give me fresh chicken for the meal that was missing the rice, and they said I could bring back the chicken and they would make it fresh but my kids were hungry. Just own up to your mistake and understand that it’s late, and the customer has to come back, but no they gave me a credit for $1.25 for a cup of rice. Well I can tell you where they can put that $1.25 because I’m never going back. It’s no wonder they never have any customers in there.

Ordered chow mein through DD and they sent a cabbage soup … not a single “crispy noodle”. $12 in the trash. Fried rice was nothing special – protein in it wasn’t good.
