We had a great experience for lunch at China inn today. They have a variety of pork, beef and chicken dishes. I was also able to get a vegetable only dish. The prices are reasonable and include a canned drink of your choice. The location is small but there was ample seating available. I believe the majority of their business is take out but we had no problem dining in. It’s a nice, quiet atmosphere. The staff was helpful in answering questions about dishes. The service was fast.

I have ate here for a few years, tonight our food was gross. Barely any cream cheese stuffing in the crab Rangoons, lunch old food which wasn’t fresh. Then the fortune cookies were stale.. Won’t ever return.

The new location at 1st Ave and 14th St is open and awesome. Some of the former Xavier’s is preserved including the big booths. Windows, decor and music are added. Their food is always good and prepared fast at a fair price. Most always order crab Rangoon, fried rice, then an additional something new, always good.

The man at the counter who took my order was cheerful and friendly. My order was a take-out and so I was pleasantly surprised that it was still steaming hot when I ate it 20 minutes later. I ordered the lunch special which comes with the option of a spring roll or a can of soda. I opted for the spring roll which was crispy and tasty. I had the chicken in garlic sauce which had no garlic taste to it in my opinion. The chicken fried rice was dry and crunchy. I honestly wasn’t impressed. The 3 stars are for the tiny tasty spring roll and the friendly man who took my order.

Food is good, a bit much on the sodium. I ordered the chicken noodle soup. Tasted as is it was from a can. Egg rolls were good. My wife had the steamed veggies with chicken. Big portions. Not a bad place but needs a renovation, very dark.

We ordered shrimp and broccoli combo, shrimp egg foo yung combo, shrimp lo mein, crab ragoon, and fried chicken wings. Not much flavor in anything but the shrimp and broccoli was the best of what we tried, although it was in a red sauce which I’ve never seen. EFY gravy tastes like straight flour. Lo mein was ok but the few shrimp in it were could’ve cooked for another minute or so. Wings were fried crispy as requested but were yellow, extremely bland and oddly shaped, seemed hacked up versus cut at the joints. The lady that took the order and atmosphere was nice but I wouldn’t eat there again.

Worst fried rice ever, Rangoons were tiny and poorly prepared, S&S Chicken was soft and without flavor(should be crispy). Very disappointing. Delivery was very fast and courteous. (Grub Hub)
