This was a great buffet. We went late in the evening and we’re still able get fresh food. My only complaint would be that there was no egg drop soup on the buffet! Is this usually on the buffet? I’d hope so! Service was fantastic and black pepper steak was great!

Average on its best day, and mediocre every other day. Not as many options as other buffets, quality of the food not as good as other buffets and kind of a dingy atmosphere and bathroom. The service is good and I like the employees. Unless you live really close by and you’re lazy, it’s not worth going more than once every few years.

During Finals week last semester I decided to explore the different Asian buffet options in Fargo/Moorhead. Having gone to virtually all of the 10-ish options, I can say that China King is one of the only options in FM that is worth going to, with the other being Giant Panda (which just barely edges China King out). Royal Buffet is a distant third.

This place is a buffet with a nice selection of classic Chinese food and a salad bar. You can likely find your favorite Chinese dishes made well here. You can also try a little bit of many different dishes to find ones you like. The service is always very good with friendly staff. The only thing is the atmosphere is nothing special but the restaurant is clean and the food is good which are the important points.

We stopped eating there when we found several hard, clear pieces of plastic in our pork fried rice. Learned that this is how they stretch their food to try and save money and standard practice for alot of them. Very disgusting!!
