I am seeing reviews from one end of the spectrum to the other. I am picky about Chinese food and always special order everything, The gal taking my order could not have been more friendly or accommodating by adding onion to my rice and putting sauces on the side. My food was hot, fresh and delicious. The Shrimp Tso was incredible and they always give you enough for two meals. If you haven’t tried the Crispy Beef or Chicken, do, it’s sooooo good. And the Crab Rangoon and Egg Foo Young, to me, is better than any other place around. China Kitchen is now my new and only place to go for awesome Chinese cuisine. CvC

This place is a real hidden gem in Mechanicsville. I got the lunch takeout today after having not eaten there in a few years. The fried rice was possibly the best I’ve ever had from any restaurant.

I don’t know what happened, but since the pandemic, China Kitchen food has become amazing. Food taste fresher and the flavors will blow your taste buds away. Sure, order time takes longer, but, it just means that they are pouring their passion into making the food. Look forward to ordering more food very soon!!!!

My husband and i had dinner from here last night for the first time, and it is now our new go-to. It was really very good. Flavorful, not too much broccoli, and not too much sodium as a lot of stores can be. Will be visiting again soon!

Pleasantly surprised! I’m so glad we tried out China Kitchen as a closer option to our house after moving to the area from Henrico. Their food is so fresh and delicious and very fairly priced! The Hot & Sour soup is especially worth mentioning as it tasted so fresh and delicious, I ended up ordering more for takeout after my family and I dined in.

I think by far this place has the best Chinese food that I have ever eaten. They have a full menu of pretty much anything you could ask for. The staff is always very helpful and friendly no matter if you are setting in or doing take out. I will say only down side is they are closed on Sundays, but hell their are a lot of places that are closed on Sunday so no problems here. We eat there all the time and we always get what we asked for. We even ask for extra spicy compared to how they make it normally and they come thru every time.
