Ask for shrimp fried rice. Got yellow rice with a few shrimp no vegetables. When confronted workers were very rude. Will not ever go there again. Will put the word out that this China One is a pig sty. To bad there’s no star minus.

Just ordered from them for the first time and very disappointed after reading such good reviews. the fried rice was bland and flavorless , the general tsos chicken barely had sauce and did not taste at all like the typical general tsos chicken I’ve ordered from other Chinese restaurants – it was even a different color, more of a spice flavor. The low mean was good though. If you expect to eat inside don’t – they don’t appear to have the air conditioning on – even told the lady how hot it was inside and she just laughed it off .

Tried them out a couple months ago. Huge menu, great prices, HUGE portions (the containers were stapled shut). All the food we got was great. Friendly staff that didn’t make you feel rushed when ordering.

Kind of disappointed considering the reviews. Decided to try this place since it is so close to our house. Our sesame chicken was SO over cooked that it was straight up crunchy like a pork rind. There was also not a lot of sauce which made it lack in flavor. The chicken on the stick was so bland as well and also slightly over cooked. We will definitely just overlook the inconvenience and continue to go to China Cafe in Hazel Green.

China One is hands down the best around. They have the most flavorful dishes, and their food is always so fresh and delicious. I appreciate that with their chicken dishes they use bite sized pieces that are just right and have the perfect amount of sauce to meat ratio, which is hard to find with other restaurants that like to use huge chunks with too much sauce which gets soggy. They even throw in complimentary items with the order which is so kind. Never had a bad experience with them!

Ordered large Hunan chicken, large Orange chicken and large Mongolian beef. We were spitting this with 4 adults. We got a large orange chicken, and small Hunan chicken and small Mongolian beef. My wife called up there to let them know we paid for large for all 3. The lady that answered the phone was rude and just wanted to argue.

We just moved to Meridianville and tried China One for the first time. All in all, we were very pleased. Service was excellent and the staff were friendly. Ordered crab Rangoon, vegetable lo mein, shrimp with steamed veggies, and General Tso’s chicken with an egg roll. Everything was hot and tasted fresh. Hands down, the absolute best item we got was the lo mein. It was the best I’ve had in a long time. The crab Rangoon and egg roll were also excellent. The shrimp was great, too, but we loved the lo mein so much, we kind of forgot about the other dishes. The only thing that wasn’t top notch was the Tso’s chicken. The chicken was still fresh, perfectly cooked, and not chewy at all, but the flavor of the chicken wasn’t what we were used to for General Tso’s — we’re used to a little more spice in the flavor. That’s probably just matter of personal taste/preference rather than anything the restaurant did. I’m not sure we’d get the General Tso’s again, but we’ll definitely be back.

OH MY GOODNESS. My family and I ordered a ton of food and ALL of it exceeded our expectations, everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. The employees were SO kind and gave us a free box of donuts and Chinese wallscroll calendar. We will DEFINITELY be back, this is our new go to Chinese restaurant.
