Called in a take-out order. Restaurant was supposed to call when order was ready. After an hour, we had still not heard from them. Went to the store and the food was there, but had been sitting out for nearly an hour. They did offer to redo it.

Food has gotten progressively worse over the last year or so. It’s either flavorless, tastes off, or the meat is of terrible quality. I get that this is Americanized Chinese food, but China Star used to be somewhat decent at one point – the last couple of dishes we had were some of the worst we’ve ever tried from this place (ntm Chinese food in general). Singapore Mei Fun were thin spaghetti noodles instead of rice noodles. Not spicy, lacked flavor, and was watery – the chicken in both the Kung Pao and General Tso’s was grisly and chewy. Even the Egg Drop Soup was gross. Next time we’ll stick with some of the places in Martinsburg. You’ve been warned…

Their portions are very good. Their streamed dumplings were excellent. I had their sesame chicken with rice and also had an order of their crab Rangoon and an order of their sugared bread rolls. The rice is so freaking delicious! Love that they add sprouts! The chicken was delicious. The sugared rolls are so bad for my health but they were also very , very good. Everything re-heated really well the next day, even the bread.
