we decided to grab some china star because we hadn’t had it in awhile. We get home and i begin to eat when i discover a piece of shrimp inside my egg roll. Most people who aren’t highly allergic would be thrilled but for me not so much. i called and the lady didn’t seem to really care she did not apologize she simply expressed all egg rolls have shrimp. I opened up my second egg roll to find NO SHRIMP. so my advice if you are allergic to seafood and love life i wouldn’t go there just head across the street to panda express below are the pictures of the two egg rolls

The greatness of this place and the people working here go hand in hand. I am not one to rate takeout style chinese places as any special over the other ones but this one was really good..prices were great for the weekend where everything else is 15 to 20 dollars especially going by buffet cost at least.

Very large portions. Great value for the money. Awesome husband and wife team that are very kind. Food is very traditional American-Chinese fair, you may not love, but you certainly will not regret it in anyway. The China Star Special, Almond Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken will be sure to fill you up and leave you satisfied. The place really hasn’t changed in the decades since it opened, so they must be doing it right.

This is the Goated most based Chinese food in all of downriver, no dare I say Michigan. I drive for a living all over the state and to other bordering states and nothing compares. Been taking my son there for his birthday (just me and him dinner) for years. It’s his absolute favorite and the lady there always gives him extra cookies and egg roles. I’ve been coming here for over a decade and will continue to do so. The cook is an absolute Chad by the way, never once seen him in a bad mood and is always super polite to me and my son.

This is my absolute FAVORITE Chinese restaurant. Period. 100%. I grew up eating here and getting takeout with my family. The General Tso’s is by far the best I’ve ever had and I long for it when I’ve been away from my hometown too long. My family also loves the sweet & sour pork, lo mein noodles (even plain are fantastic!), the fried pork dumplings, pork egg foo young, and so much more! They always have it ready quickly and remember to wish our mother well when we come in to pick it up. We ask about their kids as they were our age and helped at the restaurant when we would pick up the dinner. It’s always nice to catch up quickly. I love this place and hope it stays open forever.

Food was delicious ,not the fanciest place but that food was awesome don’t be alarmed if you have to call several times , they are always busy and there are just 2 of them in the place it’s worth the multiple phone calls . The portions are huge especially the almond chicken …the owners work very hard to get you your food and are the nicest people
