I ordered a quart of general Tso chicken and this is what’s leftover after eating the little amount of meat, I tried eating as many veggies as I could but it was more veggies than actual chicken!!! This isn’t the first time. Very very disappointed I’m not getting what I’m paying for! Last time trying to eat here ever

The food here is fresh and better than the typical American-Chinese takeout joint. The Orange Peel Chicken has a depth of flavor, the Roast Pork is really flavorful, and everything comes out of the kitchen tasting like someone cares about the food they’re making.

It’s a small restaurant with the option to carry out or dine-in, but with limited seating. The food was terrific. There were some typical options that you would find at a buffet as well as options I had not heard of, but they look great on the menu. I ordered the happy family (fantastic!), all menu items were cook to order and despite they’re being 5 orders in front of mine, they were pretty quick in preparing my meal. The cleanliness of the dining area could have been better, but I attributed that to the fact that only 2 people were working ( it did cost them a star though).

They may be small but their food is great! Always cooked fresh and I’ve never had an issue with my order. The staff is always friendly. We are regulars so she is use to us coming in and pretty much knows my order. Highly recommend if you want good chinese with good portions for a good price.

I get carryout here once a week–the food is always prepared in a timely manner, and it’s delicious! I have tried a few other places around the northlands, but nothing really shapes up in terms of the quality of food and the price. I usually take the veggie fried rice (Extra spicy) and their spring rolls–yum! The lady that runs the business is very nice, and I hope more people give them a chance!

China Star is a great local small Chinese restaurant. They are not heavy-handed/do not use MSG in every item which I really appreciate. I pretty much always get the moo shoo pork which is great, as are their egg rolls. Portions are always plentiful. They cook everything to order which is an added bonus.
