The atmosphere is the best part about the place. I thought because of great reviews that maybe it was a fluke but nope this time I asked for a refund. We have finished trying to eat our lunch and couldn’t do that. The atmosphere is the best part of the restaurant they should have just gave me my money back. Obviously something fishy is going on here. I called and asked why the egg roll is dripping handfuls of oil, the rice is crunchy and smells like dog food. The chicken is so big you need to cut it up to even eat with just a fork. I asked if she knew the rice is inedible she says it was made this morning umm I can eat rice made yesterday and it still doesn’t feel this way. Both times I have eaten here the food was thrown away. The menu is the biggest problem. My food on their menu inside the restaurant says $7.95 on my receipt it’s rung up as $9.75 and then extra charges for egg and shrimp egg roll… I don’t understand to charge so much and then someone tells you they can’t even enjoy it and oh sorry no refunds. There’s no way people are racing so hard about this place and it’s been horrid 2 separate times months apart.

We have been enjoying our meals from China Taste since they first opened up about 15 years ago. They’re pretty consistent and have a wide variety of dishes on their menu. Even my extended family who lives in the area likes this place, and I highly recommend you give them a chance.

China Taste has been a stand-by for me for since they opened. My standards are quite high, due to my having first eaten American Chinese food from 2 long-gone establishments in the Roanoke and Vinton areas, both of which were phenomenal, and a few more have been quite good over the years.

Very very clean and, in my opinion anyway, the best Chinese take away around. Everything I’ve ever had from there is always fresh cooked and seasoned well. Special requests are no problem, extra spicy, no mushrooms etc., have always been fixed to my liking. Again, VERY CLEAN ! Compared to other similar restaurants in the Valley.

I ordered 4 egg rolls, hot in sour soup and veggie lo mein. The soup and lo mein was basic Chinese, but the egg rolls which cost more than anything were only filled with only cabbage, nothing else, no meat or other veggies, I will not be ordering them again. Way overpriced for a cabbage roll.
