I’m a fan of American Chinese food and I’ve tried a good selection of places in my travels and I can honestly say this is some of the best I have ever had! (especially ‘off the beaten path’!) I highly recommend China Wok for anyone in the area looking for their go-to Chinese food or someone just passing through! I now stop in about once a week for a very filling and delicious lunch. I always dine-in and get a combination platter, which includes an entree with pork fried rice and a pork egg roll. The pork fried rice is something that sets this place apart from others to me – it is fantastic! Loaded with delicious chunks of pork (not just the red bits you may be used to) and other normal additions including onions and scrambled egg. I have enjoyed everything I have ordered including Chicken with Garlic Sauce, Beef with Garlic Sauce, Sesame Chicken, Boneless Pork Spare Ribs, and Chicken with Cashew Nuts. This is as much local, family-run small business as any! Bonus points for the Adirondack decor (several deer taxidermies).

So my fiance and I ordered food from here, about $60 worth. One of the dishes was steamed dumplings and this garlic soy sauce dipping sauce. After eating a few, my fiance dipped a dumpling in the sauce and pulled out an ANT!! Dead of course and you could tell it’s been in there for a while. So I didn’t what anyone would do and called telling them what was in the food and they basically said I was making things up and said there was nothing they could do but offer us one singular new dumpling or a new sauce. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Never would recommend going in there. Definitely not kid friendly

We enjoyed the food at China Wok, but realized there was an additional 10% charge added to the menu price. I understand that costs are up due to inflation, but there was no indication that this “service change” would be included while ordering.

Best Asian food I’ve had in the ADK. The staff is super friendly and food is great! By now they know me by name. And seeing that it’s so far away (I don’t mind driving the distance for great food) I always get enough to last me a couple of days, lol.

Great place for good Chinese takeout. Lots of choices for everyone. Connie will take care of your favorite items on their extensive menu. Big family take out dinner this evening. Stop here in the middle of a long trip. Hands down the best food outside of China Town. The wife got sweet&sour chicken that was made with real chicken not molded processed chicken. And the steamed dumplings were top two on any I have ever had. And for those taking notes the Father and son Duo I met that day spoke impeccable English and were very friendly. Not only would I recommend this place but I will be stopping again!

Ordered house special fried rice, crab Rangoon, and 2 orders of wonton soup. Wanted a pint of the house rice and small wonton soups but was told menu is old and only one size available and it’s large. Order was suppose to be ready in 20 minutes and took over an hour. They only have one cook. Took the order back to our hotel to eat and the crab Rangoon was horrible. I returned with it and told the lady it tasted bad and she wanted me to look at her computer to see that she sells 20 orders a day. I told her I don’t care about that it has a horrible taste. She returned $7.00 to me. I ate there 5 years ago but I guess they went down hill or changed owners. Wouldn’t recommend.
