This was my first visit to China Wok, I ordered, egg rolls, crab rangoons and a few Orange Chicken with Lo Mein noodles for my family. I was very impressed with the customer service I received. The lady at the counter was very friendly and welcoming when we entered the store, and the food was very good. Everything from the beginning til the end was perfect. This will be my go to spot in the future and I definitely recommend.

My last and final visit was on 5/1. I called in my order and arrived 10 mins later. The restaurant was very busy with carry out and delivery orders. Needless to say, my wait time was much longer than normal. After approximately 30 mins from the initial time I called in my order, I asked the young petite Asian girl….how much longer will my wait time be? She replied….HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO KNOW THAT! I was like….WTH, you work here! Obviously, she forgot which side of the counter she was on. Since she never bothered to get the answer to my simple question, I ended up asking her to cancel my order and refund my money. And she had no problem asking the other lady to assist me with my refund but, she couldn’t ask how much longer it’s going to take to complete my order. I told the other customers waiting….there are too many other Chinese restaurants I can give my business to. I ended up ordering from King Dragon in the Broad Ripple area and my order was ready by the time I got there. Prior to this incident at China Wok, I found a couple of metal pieces in my carry out order from a scouring pad that they use to clean their pans, and came very close to swallowing the metal. When I went back the next day for a refund and to show them the two metal pieces I found in my food….the young lady response was….the cooks need to do better rinsing the pans when they wash them.

I cannot say anything good about this place. Worst food around. Service is terrible. The cooks can’t cook. I saw who I think is the head cook playing crabass with who I think is the women owner when taking my order. She seemed more interested in that then getting my order correct. Gave her my order and she gave me what she wanted me to have and up charged me for it. When I said something about it she started yelling at me in her best broken English. I would tell others not to trust these people and never pay with your card. If you absolutely have to go there pay in cash.

Having eaten at this CHINA WOK 20+ times over many years, I can fairly say it is consistently good, accurate, and timely. While it does have 6-7 tables at which to eat, it lends itself to more of a take-out eatery. The options are extensive and the prices are fair, especially if ordering a lunch or dinner combo. Typically, I get the GENERAL TSAO’S CHICKEN, which is great. But, on my most recent trip I decided to try the HAPPY FAMILY dinner w/ PORK FRIED RICE. Because I wanted leftovers for at least another day, I added a PORK EGG ROLL, & a small BBQ BONELESS SPARE RIBS appetizer. The entire order only took 10 minutes to prepare. Everything was excellent & I will most likely get the HAPPY FAMILY again since I’m sure it’s healthier than the General Tsao’s & it was just so darn good. Lastly, the location is great as well. It’s in a strip plaza next to a Baskin Robbins, Starbucks, a pub, Joann Fabrics, Salvation Army store, & laundromat amongst others.

I don’t now where to start, when called to place order (9pm and they close at 10pm) I had to give my order before they agreed to make my food. The food was so bad, I asked for mild and got hot, asked for chicken fried rice w/out onions and got extra onions. The chicken had a very bad smell, my eggs rolls I took one bite and spilt it right back out. They have ruined my taste for egg rolls. I’m not sure if they were having a bad night and had a substitute cook, I just hope this was just a fluke.

This place has problems, I’m not going to cover them all but explain how they basically ripped me off. I ordered chicken chow mein and got cabbage, showed them the receipt and they said cabbage is chicken chow mein! They refused to take the cabbage back or give me my money or exchange it. I mean what in the stink. So they sold me a product that they don’t even have or didn’t have when I ate there. Will never refer or give any credit to a company who is run by swindlers.
