While no one aspect of China Wok is 5 star, it is absolutely for the purpose of this rating a 5 star. The food is generally pretty good and kept fresh. You can walk in at any time and just eat. It is very close to campus and easy to get in and out if you’re there for a show or sporting event. The staff isn’t friendly, but they’re not rude, just going about their business. The restaurant feels like you’re stepping back into the 1990s, but other than a few “we really don’t do it that way anymore” things (especially post Covid) it’s refreshing to have the freedoms we once did.

I ordered pineapple chicken with mixed vegetables and I got 3 pieces of pineapple and green peppers? I expected more pineapple and mixed vegetables!! Like carrots, mushrooms, broccoli, etc. Extremely disappointed. May never return.

I used to frequent this place. Amazing crab Rangoon! Best time to go is when it’s busy. It was a great college lunch. Planning on making a 2 hour drive over to enjoy some buffet!

We stopped at China Wok for their supper buffet. It definitely looks like a rundown hole in the wall from the outside. Once inside, the interior is very dated as well; however, the staff and food make up for it. The staff were friendly and efficient. They stayed on top of clearing our plates and keeping the buffet full food. The food was hot and fresh and there was a good variety. we paid almost $30 for two adult buffets with water, which did seem a bit high. One negative was the signage posted everywhere, warning that there could be an additional charge if food was left on your plate. I understand the desire to not waste food, but part of the fun of a buffet is trying new things — you may or may not like. I’m not sure if they follow through on this threat. Excellent service and good food though!

Closed out the buffet for the night. Was mostly pleased with the quality of the food just before close (with the exception of the honey chicken). Friendly and courteous staff. Will return whenever I’m in town.

The food was good, but I think a late lunch might not be an ideal time to go. The egg rolls seemed like they had been sitting out for a long time. I have never seen peanut butter chicken on a menu before so that was interesting.

I’ve never had a disappointing experience at this buffet. The workers are friendly and attentive and they take your plate right away, so you’re table always stays neat and clean. The pricing is great ($12 for lunch) cheaper than most fast food meals. The signs say that they don’t do dinner buffet (which it seems they need to correct) but every time i’ve been there it’s been open for the buffet. Crab Ragoons are delicious, and of all the times i’ve ate here, i’ve only had slightly cold food once, but NEVER during the lunch/dinner rushes. The food is always stocked quickly during these times as well. Overall, nice little buffet with a few kinks, but not enough to choose Panda Express over it.

Not very good. We showed up an hour and a half before closing but all the food was stale and tough. Even the imitation crab bake was hard and chewy. Like a taffy almost. They have a decent amount of desserts, including an ice cream freezer. But the main courses are lacking, especially as many of the options are the same ingredients prepared in a slightly different way.
