Convenient to get to; only 2 miles from 81. Everything was delicious! So delighted that we stopped in for breakfast. Looking forward to going back. Highly recommend the Gravy Boat & Big Boys Breakfast!

Beth was our Server. She was very nice, and attentive. One of the things that really struck me was just how much kindness and respect she showed those who are elderly. I’m sure the people that she dealt with are regulars, and with a Server like that it’s no wonder. The food was really good especially the butter toffee cake for dessert. Another thing that was really impressive is unlike a lot of other places, the half + half creamers that were on the table were cold and not room temperature. We got the crab cakes and the fish and chips. The slaw was not what we were used to, it’s more of a vinegar rather than mayo one. It’s a place that I would consider going back to again. Next time since they serve breakfast all day, we’ll probably get that for dinner.

Most definitely our new favorite place to grab breakfast. Very cozy diner feel with dishes that feel like they were made by grandma, and taste just as good! Staff was super friendly with everyone who came in. There were clearly a lot of “usual” customers there and I imagine we’ll be as well now!

Thought my wife and I try this place before we hit a 7pm movie. Came in about 5:30 p.m., took our seats and was greeted by an older lady who seemed to not be in the best mood. Ordered our drinks. Many others arrived around the same time and were served as well. We received our drinks fairly quick but were never asked if we wanted to order. By 6pm, other patrons that came in around the same time had sat, gotten drinks, ordered food , and began being served their food. Another person at our table got up a tracked the lady down to tell her we were ready to order. At 6:10 p.m., she never made an effort to return, so we left disappointed. As a Botetourt county resident and an employee of a very large Salem employer, I try to support my fellow local business best I can but this was just disappointing. I had heard good things about the food and looked forward to it. Hopefully, it was just a real off day for her. I understand we all have those days.

Down home type of small community diner. Very busy but didn’t wait for a seat. Breakfast took a while but that says cooked with care. This is exactly the kind of place we’ve hoped to find when we travel

This place was poppin! We went by there to get some breakfast to go and there was barely a parking spot! We had to wait a little bit, about 15-20 minutes but that was expected by seeing how many people were there and how many people were waiting to be seated. Everyone was very helpful and friendly and we got our food and it was delicious, with no mistakes! I will definitely be returning!

Website says best cheesesteak in town, well, it was just okay….$9 for just an okay sandwich is not okay. Burger was dry and bland and fries were basic. Waitress staff was nice but did not check up on you like they should with a minimal crowd.

Was super happy to find this place. It’s not the most amazing food I’ve ever had but it’s really good especially for the price! Our waitress was amazing and friendly. We will be coming back!

Was in town for work and a local recommend this place for breakfast. Showed up at 740. Plenty of tables available. The waitress was great at multitasking and being patient as I caught up with my family visiting. Food was good, atmosphere was a homey diner feel, and I enjoyed it very much. I knew it was a local joint when people knew eachother by name. By the time I left it was filling up. Great breakfast thankyou!!

What a wonderful restaurant! Family run and owned and you can tell they pour their hearts into every morsel of food. We stopped here to get a bite of home cooking and we highly recommend anyone traveling along I-81 stop here. So many options and they are all good.
