this place is the worst! the meat was wrong, my portions were small as could be and the place was a wreck! the lady was cross contaminating food while making people food as i waited for mine. If you have a food allergy and come here you may end up getting the stuff you dont want mixed in your food!!!!!!!!!! this is so dangerous !!!!!!!!! i called them about my order and got an attitude so i called customer service and PRAY THEY SHIUT THIS LOCATION DOWN!!!!!!!! THE OWNERS DONT CARE, by the reviews apparently this has been happening for a while

About a year ago, I was going to the Chipotle on Cicero avenue near Alsip Illinois. The service wasn’t all that great as it took a long time to get through the line while I watched One or two employees standing around. Also, employees in their uniforms sitting down eating at customer tables listening to music on their phones or FaceTiming, which was always annoying. I visited last week and what a turnaround this place has made. Service was fast and food was good.

I arrived to the Chipotle in Oak Lawn (111th and Cicero) around 6:40pm to get dinner for my family. The front door was locked. I almost left but noticed people inside. I called to see if they were open but saw a gentleman go in the side door, so I followed. When I got inside there were 4 employees that very negatively greeted me by saying we are only taking online orders. I felt unwelcome completely but asked if I couple place an order online and wait. The app said ready approximately 10 minutes which would be 7pm. I placed my order that was over $60. one employee proceeded to make food and take a break and the remaining 3 were cleaning leaving no one to fill the orders. A 5th employee came from the back and started trying to fill orders but had to quickly stop to refill the online order fulfillment counter off to the side from the main section in front. He spent at least 5 minutes taking moving everything over when they could have just had us order from the main counter. One guy asked to speak to whoever was charged. A tall African American man came forward. He asked what was going on and how can he cancel his order . It have been at that point 30 minutes and he no longer was going to wait and wanted to cancel. No one knew how to speak to him. That man left very upset. I considered leaving at that point too. The service was not moving at all and the employees made it very unwelcoming to stay and wait for the horribly slow service. In all it took almost an hour to get 3 burrito bowls. When I left there were at leave 15 people waiting. I will say with certainty that I will not patronize this location ever again .

This is the second time this has happened to me at this location unfortunately. I DoorDashed this so I could not physically watch the food being made. With that being said, I ordered double chicken, and from the looks of it both times I received MAYBE one half serving of chicken. This is one ladle spoons worth. It it $3.55 extra to order extra chicken. On top of ordering extra chicken and receiving less than a normal portion, I have dietary needs in mind that need to be met when I order double. I like to give the benefit of doubt to people, but this has happened twice now with the same result. I would never order from this location unless you can physically watch them make your food.

This place in understaffed and the people that do work there are lazy AF. Ordered on the app, said it was ready, got to the place, waited over 30 minutes and still no food. Talked to Jamar the manager/supervisor and was told that there were too many online orders. There was literally 1 person actually making the food, while about 4 or 5 others were walking around. They had the doors locked to keep customers away and were telling customers who would walk in through the side emergency entrance that they were only serving online orders. Horrible experience. The app will not even refund me because since they printed the sticker within the timeframe, the system says that it was on time. Complete BS. Will likely go through my bank to get a refund.

The place is a complete mess operated by incompetent and lazy staff. They only care about online orders and will continually tell customers they aren’t going to make in store orders because they don’t have the staff. Completely asinine. Especially when half the staff hangs out in the back not doing anything. They told me they only had two people working but they kept appearing out of nowhere like they were coming out of a clown car. Food has gone downhill in quality and they don’t even care enough to clean up the station where they serve the food. Or the dining room. Just stuff more garbage on top..squish it all in because they aren’t going to change it. The manager is a complete joke. If by some chance you see this review before going in, please don’t bother. If you still do, watch out for the female cook because if her mouth is any indication of her hygiene, she probably doesn’t wash her hands. Absolute trash of a location in every way. I really mean it.

Terrible customer service. They were short on a bunch of ingredients. Beans were being scooped as if there’s nothing left. Everything was poured into the bowl as if they had to save some for the next costumer. When I asked them to add more they charged me double for the items.

This location is horrible and careless. I order online for convenience and always end up with something I didn’t want. They also dont pick up the phone either which doesn’t help. Tonight my husband wanted tacos which the receipt clearly shows what we ordered but once we got home we saw it was a bowl. It’s pretty hard to mess up a simple taco order. Do better chipotle.

I asked for double and extra meat . After getting only what looked like half a spoon of meat I asked for extra meat. She said she gave me double meat. I said I would like extra meat , and she again said she gave me double meat . After saying I’ll pay for this damn meat , I want extra spoon of each she understood. Quality of the meat was horrible. My chicken bowl turned into chicken and steak . Steak was so fatty , we wasted $50 on this double extra meat , and had to throw it away. Then came to pay , MANAGER, at the register is answering very important FaceTime call as she told me later on once I called the restaurant to make a complaint. It was a lot of laughing and smiling on a FaceTime to be this important , that she got my order punched in wrong , forgot to charge me for tortilla , and twice repeated I would like two large drinks which she of course didn’t hear . If manager , who should show an example, is able to answer “important” calls , so should be the rest of the crew , in the middle of serving food , answer FaceTimes , laugh and walk away . This is unacceptable. Complain about the food as well as the behavior of this manager was reported to headquarters. Cameras record , and are very easy to access . Waiting on the owner to contact me to further discuss this .

Slow service, unfriendly staff, food was not good & store was not well kept & the staff didn’t seem to care. My first mind was to leave but I gave them the benefit of doubt that maybe they just hadn’t had time to clean even though it wasn’t crowded The cashier never even spoke to me or asked me did I want anything else, nor tell me my total. She definitely didn’t thank us for stopping in. This was my first time at this particular store & will likely be my last. I didn’t even finish my food from there I threw it away after a couple bites. I was quite disappointed Chipotle used to have great service & food lately it’s been hard to find a good one.
